Well done! I have been through a ton of videos looking for the "right" way to do this so it doesn't look junky. I have a large hole by the porch - riding lawn mower + Bur Oak Acorn. You the man! Thanks.
I own an autobody shop and have been using body fillers for years. Any body filler like Bondo will dry according to how much hardener you add to it and the TEMPERATURE (outside or inside) where you're using it....especially in the direct sunlight. So be mindful that the more hardener you use with each batch you make the more quickly it will harden.....and sometimes (if not careful) it will harden too fast. Take it easy and only use a little bit of hardener (like the size of a pencil eraser) on small batches of putty. Use the hardener in accordance to the amount of putty you're mixing up. You want it to harden slower than too fast, so you won't be wasting it and it's not cheap.
It's just some off white sprat paint I found in the garage that's a close match to my siding. If you don't have the paint I would get some color matched. Online apps can match colors off a picture now. I would have went that route if I didn't have the stuff on hand.

That came out great!
Great job! Thanks for the demonstration and technique.
Thank you and your welcome. I have a year later update video on it as well.

What is the color of the paint you are using?

Vinyl siding is junk.
Not my favorite thing for sure.
