Nice Picking 👍 great across the board. demonstration with this cool old EPI’. I’ve never heard a bad old Epiphone arch-top guitar -from mid-50s back. Owned about 5. Own a 1953’ Zenith now for 4 years. -Just picked up a 1943’ Ritz that’ll need a little fixin.
Thanks! As far as strings, I'm kind of a weirdo in that area. I'm actually using D'Addario EJ16 - but, I have never liked the sound of new strings, so I tend to buy a set, open the plastic packaging and let them sit around for a while (like, weeks) before using them. And even then, they're usually too bright for me, so I play them a lot and get them worn in. I tend to leave a set on the guitar for many, many, months if they still sound decent. I have heard that the Martin Darco strings are good, but I tried a set and they were even brighter than the D'Addario so I went back. The Martins never really settled into a full tone for me, at least on this guitar. Cheers!
ah, just got to 5:27. I see that perhaps you first got interested in these guitars for the same reason as the rest of us huh? Loved the sound of these things ever since I first heard those lyrical Dave Rawlings lines a decade or so ago
Beautiful guitar and playing. I have a ‘33 Gibson L50 I love Great to hear these playing styles as these guitars sound so sweet.

Cool rendition of FM man. Nice playing all round. Cheers! :)
Great Stuff ...!!!
Thanks very much! It's such a fun little guitar. Cheers!
Lovely guitar. Lovely playing. I just acquired a 1939 model. The tone is a little less Rawlings than yours. What strings are you using?
