Havent found any video here on YT on adding samples to drum tracks. Ive seen using ez drummer as drum sample enhancer but nothng like using your own samples . I managed to do it wih SS trigger 2. but wnted to see if theres a better way.

Is there a recording gain setting for the first mic signal stage coming from the source? Or do you just record it clipping then adjust the clip gain on the track after?

I have to join the choir and say thanks, this is fantastic. I'm pretty new to the recording world, and after months of learning to use LUNA, I hadn't stumbled into a single discussion of tempo mapping. So, big thanks for introducing the concept. I tend to write a lot of stuff on guitar that's not exactly "locked in", or with weird and shifting time signatures, so I've always felt like I'm fighting with these DAWs. This at least gives some flexibility to just play rather than spend too much time programming a click track. Not that I don't see the value in that too, but man, this is great.

Hmm interesting, thanks. Top is reduced in plugin significantly with the adjustment you used, as you said. Likely could be further adjusted and match the two. Because apart from that, it's hard to notice differences if there is anything at all. It is a very good plugin.

You say volume unit, that is not correct, VU in the analog world means Voltage Unit. It is a measurement of Voltage not volume. Analog equipment all works with Voltage.

This is all fantastically interesting, helpful and informative. I'm learning a lot - and not just from this video but from all your others using Luna. I'm very grateful to you! Luna is the DAW I use and most tutorials about it are technical. Yours are concerned with the the art of mixing and mastering, which is rare. When it comes to mastering, being a newbie, I slap some mastering plugins on the Main bus and run everything through them. Works every time - and I get good results ...I think. So far I haven't overwhelmed my Mac. I haven't yet tried bouncing the mix down to stereo then opening that up as a new and separate mastering project. You're saying here that doing so helps you see/hear the project with fresh ears, and I totally understand how important that is. But aside from that, are there other compelling reasons for doing it? I know it's accepted practice and kind of traditional, already - but I'm not yet convinced enough to try it. I know I'm stubborn.... If you happen to be looking for topics to discuss in your forthcoming videos here, that would be a great subject to tackle and it would help my understanding a lot. In any case, thanks for your excellent teaching!

Unless ridiculously cranked the effect is more than subtle. You could do what this thing does with a 1.5db low end boost and a slight shelf boost or dip in the high end.

Listening in HD600s. The differences are minuscule. Cranked settings gives obvious changes. But...yeah.

What about the delay compensation on the return you didn’t show that part on recording back into the daw and the routing matrix view on the set up would’ve been great to see for beginners using outboard gear

Very nice and straight. But... What if when I got a message at startup screen clickin on a session, 'unable to load session'?... nothing has happened with it, the other sessions are OK. Nowhere can be find any useable backup file, or saved file with another name... :((( Moreover my saved backup on another drive is unloadable as well.... About a two days work lost It seems to me so far.... Thankfully of 'Save as' option missing.

I think the difference using Soothe was quite noticeable. Soothe helped a lot.

I hope they put this feature in windows and the ability to do it with sound cards from other brands
