Beautiful video. Bergamask is my signature in spring and summer for daytime. I love it but, like you said, I get different opinions from people. I have friends who are crazy about this perfume but some people hate it. To give you two examples: a customer told me I smelled like her grandmother's closet. My mom says it smells like mold, while a friend of mine loves it madly, she finds it sexy. I love this thing honestly 😅

It's funny that Bergamask can create so much of the 'repulsion/attraction' with its scent profile...like I mentioned I couldn't believe when my editor didn't like it (I thought he was crazy😂) when everyone in my family LOVES this perfume!

Just received my bottle today. Amazing complexity to this. 1 spray is all you need. I sprayed it without telling my wife and shw was like, “wooo, that’s strong!”. She likes it but she’s not a hige fan of musks. As I’m sitting here typing this my dog is going bonkers, his tail wagging non-stop and dancing all around. Looks like he likes it more than my wife 😂
I also received my bottle and indeed my friend 1 spray is enough 😂 even after a sweaty workout and a shower…. It’s there 😅

I bought this fragrance for ny first vacation with my girlfriend to valencia. There was a heatwave and it was around 40 degrees Celsius everyday. However, I could smell bergamusk the whole day with only two sprays. When i went into the sea, it felt like the scent was reactivating again on my skin. Now everytime I wear it, I get reminded of this great vacation.
I'm fascinated by the power of pheromones as well. Your interviews are excellent. I love the passion that you have for this perfumer.

So cool that you showed an actual bergamot and explained its aroma and flavor, Marcelo! I’ve been studying bergamot for the past few months-in everything from Earl Grey tea to Bergamote de Nancy candies (add enough sugar to anything and it becomes tolerable) to fragrances. Recently ordered a bottle of Bergamask and am anxiously awaiting it.
Was on a sample splurge today and gave this a whirl....what a scent, this stuff is fantastic. I know what I want for Christmas! Thanks Marcelo.

You knew I was waiting!!!! Excellent Review. I love Bergamask. I think for the series I like Seminalis, Megamare, Bergamask, Stercus (that's all I own). Honestly, I have recently fallen for China White. I love his scents and don't really care what other's think. I don't overspray with his scents, due to their olfactive heft, but I love to be cloaked in in them. Keep up the exceptional work. CHEERS FROM THE STATES! 😁
How awesome is Alessandro! His perfume collection are incredible, highly unique and an adventure to wear....these are more than just a "nice smell". Brilliant collection that you own, love the line up....have you tried Viride? I strongly suggest you go out and test this one (actually only if you're over 30 or a very mature mid 20 year old....not being facetious but this is a mature man's fragrance)....would be curious to know your thoughts on this.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector You can't get more "Alessandro Gualtieri" than naming a fragrance Stercus and making it smell different from everything else in a good way. I couldn't stop smelling the tester strip I had. Not to mention the presentation on the Stercus on their website. 😅😅
Hey Marcelo, always a great review. Funny, my scent of the day has been Boccanera my daughters favorite, and your talking about OP today. Absolutely Bergamask is a great fragrance. Ever time I wear one from this collection people that are not used to these scents do get chocked out when I walk by, kind of funny. Looking to possibly add Brutus, and Stercus soon. Be well.
Brutus is too damn good. It's a beautiful scent that has a similarity to LDDM. To layer with LDDM and or Cuoium is kingly.

I find that it’s not as punchy as the other OP, so this is the one that would be perfect for those who might previously get ‘choked out’ by the other OP’s
Whereas Stercus is Alessandro at his best…punchy, animalic, unique (will be doing a review on this one next🙌🏽)

Love most of the Nasamatto fragrances also.

Hi mate! So got a chance to try Begamusk today and it wasn’t for me at all. But…. Brutus. Yes, I loved it. Has some similarities to Halfeti by Penhaligans (which I also love).
I was actually looking for something a bit more summery and got my nose on Megamare. Wow! Such a beast of a fragrance. I loved it but my fiancée not so much… I ended up getting some MFK Gentle fluidity silver instead. I absolutely love this fragrance. Feels cold when you put it on the skin.

I bought Bergamask, and Boccanera and I have to say that projection and longevity are not as I expected. Maybe because I wear Aqua di sale and Megamare a lot and they are in beast mode about that.
Initially, Bergamask reminds me of Deo spray Malizia uomo, the green one. I am interested in whether you agree with my opinion.

Hey marcelo i want to buy my first artistic niche soon and my favourite note ever is Bergamot by a mile but I don’t have access to test any like this should I blind buy this? Would I like it as a huge Berga’mot fan?
I get all of the notes you mentioned, but I also get a good bit of vetiver.

Bergamask is my absolute favorite, I love it. But I have problem with projecting sillage, maybe I am not spraying corectly and the weather isn't warm enought no matter that I love this parfum.

Hello sir! I saw your video about Bergamask and I ordered a sample, which I am wearing today. I have never ever experienced something like this before, in a good way. What a big difference with the more common designer fragrances (which now feel like light scented water) 😂 What an amazing scent and longevity. I sprayed some on, before my wife came home. I was in another room and when she opened the front door, she said to me "hey, you found a new fragrance". Just like you and your son on the beach. Thank you for your review and telling me more about this house. I am afraid this first niche fragrance won't be my last 😅

For me, Viride is an easy love, where, as Megamare may test you and your whole neighborhood due to its potency🌊👹… I’ll be curious to see what you think

Funny enough, my wife and I both found Megamare a very unpleasant scent, for us it smells like plastic in a dirty ocean... also, less powerful than Bergamask. And then, Viride... I absolutely LOVED it, really smells like a fougere to me. But as I already expected, my wife told me I smelled like an old man 😂.. she just doesnt like the barbershop/fougere kind of scents, and to be honest: these are my favourites... And HER favourite scents, are warm and vanilla like.... and I don't like those... But on the bright side: we both like Bergamask. Funny thing, smell... Have a good day, sir

Hi M, I have a couple citrus fragrances, usually not a fan, however, I do like Acqua Di Parma colonia Essenza very much its smooth, full bodied with no sharp edges. How does OP compare? Another good review!👊🏽
Hey Mark, great to hear from you buddy and yes Colonia Essenza is brilliant; classic gentleman's fragrance. Bergamask is it's really dirty bohemian cousin.....they're from the same family (connected by citrus) but 2 different individuals.
I love Bergamask for its sassy, musky, citrus vibe. This is one that you need to test Mark; it's either love or hate. Mind you I feel that this is the theme with the Orto Parisi's that I've read from subscriber comments (but that's what I also love about it, these are works of olfactory art that just isn't for everyone)

I would recommend to you Bergamask...this is perfect summer💫 Interestingly I prefer Megamare as a winter fragrance; otherwise it's too intense for me over😵💫

Nice review. I am curious, “citrus, woody, musk” sure sounds like dior homme 2020, although on that one the citrus goes away pretty quickly. Is that vibe in the same ballpark as this one? Afraid to blind buy but reviews have been pretty universally positive..
Thanks for reaching out. I haven't tested Dior Homme 2020....but I'm going to be audacious and say that nothing smells like Bergamask. The concept is "citrus, woody, musk" but the olfactory experience of this is on another level.
I'm not a big fan of blind buying (very risky business), so if you get the chance to go to your local boutique that stocks this fragrance I would recommend you test on skin and see how it performs for you....and what you get from this fragrance.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector thank you replying! So I got a decant. Unique blend for sure. It’s actually in the very rough ball park of Tom ford for men, if you take out the booze then amp it up. It is potent for sure. I like it and with more wearings will decide if I love it.

Funny when i bought this i thought it would be similar to Bergamask by Gallagher. While i do like that fragrance, this one is an electric explosion on skin. A very full bodied Citrus.
I haven't had the chance to test the Gallagher version but I have to agree with you that the Gaultieri version is an 'electric explosion on skin' and yet, it has a softness to it. I find that the sillage on this has a different vibe than what I smell on myself.
I've picked this 'softer' side when my son wears it and recently my daughter commented when I was wearing it that my trail had like a citrus floral smell to it....I was surprised because all I can smell on me is a woody bergamot with musk😂
Anyway, wonderful perfume that is perfect all year round.

Does it have the same black musk as Viride? More animalic than that or less? Is it his signature base note?
Great question @bendtherules; I don't know. It has a pronounced musk note but it blends well with the bergamot that it takes on citrus tones. Where as I don't get a very heavy musk with Viride; I find that the woods (oud) is a lot more pronounced for me with Viride
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I might be wrong here - looking at various reviews, i was terming the hairy black component in Viride as black musk.
I have experienced some Indian oud and oud/rose combos, but they were pretty different from this one - so it didn't occur to me as oud. But maybe this is the french impression of it? It smells to me as something dark, little bit sizzling and quite warm, not skanky or animalistic. Let's call that component in Viride as oud, to be on the same page 😀.
Does anything else from Orto parisi/Nasomatto collection have this similar oud base?
I have tried Boccanera and that doesn't have this prominent oud note. In my nose, Boccanera has a dark base - something holding the chocolate inside and making the smell more mature/complicated than a simple chocolate smell.
I'll try out some black musk and oud musk combo. Maybe then I'll be properly able to term this smell.

Great to hear from you Cyril. Bergamask is very deep, woody, musky citrus. Whilst Renaissance is bright, green and happy citrus. For me Bergamask is easily an all year long perfume, whereas Renaissance is perfect in Summer (not so good in winter)

We’re moving into winter here in Australia and lately I can’t stop wearing this one…totally love it. It’s Smokey, wood, Oud, with some sweet notes to it, it’s pure magic.

Which Parisi scent is a fresh summer scent?
Hmmm, this question is really tough..."fresh summer" and Orto Parisi don't really go together😬
There are 2 key notes that Alessandro has revealed in each of the Orto Parisi fragrance's (he normally keeps the composition a secret). They are:
1. Oud
2. Musk
Both of these create a POW!💥 So they don't fall into a 'fresh' category like a Creed fragrance would; there's a lot more depth/woods/musk happening with the entire collection.
Having said that, I do enjoy wearing Bergamask as a summer fragrance...BUT, it is a very punchy, slap across the face, kind of summer fragrance.
I would strongly recommend that you test first (don't recommend any blind buying). Good luck

I just got it today. I hope i am wrong but it looks very weak on me. i tried one spray on my arm and it was very weak. so when i was home topless i tried one spray on my chest and still nothing. I can see the musk coming after a while but weak also the musk. I will try tree spray later when I go out and I really hope this will perform. with megamare I put two sprays and the performance is very good.
For some it does not last on my skin 😭

The new batch is very weak unfortunately. Also megamare is not strong as it was before. Don't know what happened.
Interesting that you find both Bergamask and Megamare as being weak… For me these are both absolute beast fragrances.

Where did you get your Megamare? Got mine from Luckyscent about 2 weeks ago and it’s so strong I only use 2 sprays that last literally 12 or more hrs and my skin is dry as can be. I’ll wash a shirt and it’ll still be smelling of it.
I have same problem with Bergamask it has really bad performance
Orto parisi is more musk than citrus. I'm upset I need a long lasting citrus smell but no need to buy anything musky orto parisi has me covered
Yes, it does drydown more on the musk...but I still have trace's of the woody/citrus bergamot (not like the opening) but it's still there.
But yes, if I had to categories it quickly; I would say 'musk' rather than 'citrus' to define this fragrance.

Maybe my bottle did not masurate properly its not your fault. Still a long lasting scent
The terrible musks in this assaulted my nose and I tend to enjoy natural animalicé.
I purchased and agree the musk is not even a nice smelling musk I have to mix and blend it with another scent
