big big difference between a clutch (standard car/pick up) what you have is a clutch brake. Definitely using the clutch too much and look into better rev matching aka floating and also double clutching where you push in the clutch only 25-50 percent to neutral and then again like that to your next gear. Takes some getting used to but you are going to ruin your syncros like that. BTW love your content

The 270t seems to be a "thought through" machine , most of the parts look easy to access and repair.

Great video Lance, I have driven truck for years and I can see the main thing you need to do is learn how to float your gears without the clutch once your moving. Get ahold of your trucker friends and have them teach you how to do it. It will definitely save you a lot of money in clutch repair etc. God bless y'all

I don’t think you have an issue with your trans. I usually don’t use the clutch to shift, except for out of first gear. Use your throttle and run the engine rpm’s up when down shifting. As you slow down and want to drop a gear you have to race up the engine rpm’s to match what it would be if you were in that lower gear, at that speed. Hope this makes sense.
These larger trucks don’t have synchros that line up like you might think of a car having. Good luck.

The primary fuel filter is located on side of engine. Lift the boom all the way up and lock it. Look down beside boom cylinder and you will see a mesh screen, remove it to get to fuel filter. It's a pain to get to but need to replace it for sure

Hey Lance, just came across your channel and subscribed. I have a fairly new channel (Tristar Diggin') as well, less than a year. I know what you mean about the effort that it takes to make videos and thankful for folks that watch. Will check out some of your videos and help out too. BTW I had a truck almost exactly like that. I sold it and got a different one. But keep working with that transmission before spending that money. It takes time but you will figure out how to double clutch and increase the rpm to slide that baby right in a lower gear.
    God Bless,
    Sam

Thanks Sam, I've actually thought about getting an Automatic similar to this one. But who knows if I can afford it. We'll see. Thanks for the support.

Trying going to neutral quick rev of rpms( not through the roof lol) and shift as rpms are coming down, dont use clutch and if so dont push more than half way ,unless starting out or coming to stop ...not sure if that will help but try it

Either double clutch or have your rpm’s higher

How often do you have change air filters when you are mulching trees? Your other video looked there is a constant dust cloud around the machine when you are mulching down trees and brush.

I blow out the air filters after every job and sometimes twice a day if it’s dusty.
