My roots have always been primarily in hard rock/metal, but these guys are incredible. Quality production, unique sound, versatile songwriting, and Marko's voice is absolutely stellar.
What I love about them is that they make exactly the kind of music that they feel like without anyone telling them no or whether or not something is in fashion, they do it for the love of music and lyrics and their loyal fans are all for it - resulting to not only every album to be different but also songs within the same album to have quite the variety (for example Dancing on Broken Glass, False Kings and this on Ultraviolet, you'll get this some day!) They even produce, mix etc. all their music (except for the album Clearview but in the end that did not work 100%..). This video came after the album, but they changed up the guitars and also released a FRENCH version of it?! I am glad that you found Poets of the Fall, they are my favourite, and look forward to you finding some songs in the middle, haha as the ones you did before are rather old and this is in a way from the other extreme both style and timewise!
Someone else reacted to this a few days ago and it's funny you said the music sounds like something from the 80s pop music because I said it reminded me of Lady in Red by Chris Deberg. 😂😂 Have to agree with you, he has a great voice. Really love how he sings this one.
I've really enjoyed your reviews of these PoTF songs! I hope to see more from you because, out of everybody I've watched react to/review PoTF, you offer the most in-depth analysis and breakdowns which is just so enjoyable to listen to. I'm sure you've heard a lot of their music by now, but since you're a lover of metal and harder stuff, I wanted to suggest that you check out a few of their hardest songs if you haven't yet. My favorites of their harder collection include Psychosis, Rogue (Instrumental), Save Me, and The Ultimate Fling. I personally have always gravitated towards their lighter stuff but I do think they really nailed it on the Revolution Roulette album as a whole with heavier guitar and darker vocals ✌ Looking forward to more from you in the future!!
Beautiful song..my take on it is that it isn’t an actual love song. To me it is about the dream and spirit realm...as noted by “feeling of fading away.” And “that latticework of dreams, we are shameless.”

I can't decide between this one and the French version they released a few weeks later, but there's lots and lots of violet in both.
Thanks for react. I'm a metalhead too and also listen Poets)) Great group really.
