The best looking Compact out there.I have a budget of about 40k for a new car,but with all the safety features and the price for it, man it's a beautiful car,and all the $ left over..I can't wait to get my hands on this.
@@allaniman8829 The civic is really nice too, but the safety features the Sentra brings in is unmatched in the compact car world, most importantly, given the price difference.I like that Type R. Thanks for that information... Because my credit score is a 598 but my mom will be co-signing with me. And I'm going to drop 3,000 down also what trim level did you get is it the sr?
@@corneliushannah7454 The 2024 sentra is available in a S, SV, and this SR trim. This one was a SR in the description with pricing and options. Congratulations on your new car purchase
It uses Bluetooth allow you access to listen to music this Sentra needed a wire to listen. For example the Civic allows you to play your music wireless.
@@mslafay7I have this same model. It's Apple Car Play/Android Auto that's wired if you use that feature to listen to music. Otherwise, you can listen to music apps wirelessly if you use Bluetooth only.
@@chriscarsculture2 Yeah I was a bit disappointed with that. Nissan could have easily dropped a 2.5L Inline 4 back into this car and turbo boosted it or tune it N/A to 250 - 270HP and add a manual. I am glad Nissan offers this car with a manual but you would need to order it from the factory or from Canada for that gearbox.
Just at face value, the 2023 has very nice LED fog lights and a much more appealing front fascia…It appears the interior is identical. Nissan has done a bit of profit margin maximizing and given you a lesser equipped car for the same price and hid it with a “newly designed front end”. It’s sad they are now equipped with a pain in the ass auto shut off feature that makes for a constantly jerky experience when taking off from stop signs, traffic lights, or in stop and go traffic (atleast they are in the newer cars I’ve driven with them). Glad I got mine when I did. Aspen white with the black roof is the sharpest car imo. Besides the horrible decision with the front end I’m sure this will be a brilliant car as mine is. I do not recommend as an only driver without serious consideration that it is severely underpowered. It struggles to pass people on 2 lane roads in a reasonable amount of time, you’ll more than once find you really wish it had a little more get up and go. The Altima is starting to look like the better buy when considering an SR trimmed Sentra..
After all my research between the sedans I also started to consider the SR Sentra. Are you saying you lean towards the SR Altima instead of the Sentra?
I bought one in Charcoal Grey. The car is severely underpowered! I don’t understand why Nissan can’t seem to get it right when it comes to hp. Don’t bother buying an SR (should run) version. It’s just as slow as the base model. The SR Badge use to stand for something, nope not anymore. If you have a slightly heavier foot than normal you can forget about decent gas mileage. The best my 24 has managed to get is 27.3 average and that’s with half my mileage from highway driving. The auto stop at red lights will constantly irritate drivers as well. The only way around the auto stop is remembering to turn it off “Every Time You Start the Car”. I like the design and the comfortable ride but that’s about it.
BTW. I had a 2019 Scat Pack Charger that averaged 22.3 and it had 4 times the hp with a 6.4 liter motor! The Sentra should be averaging 38 to 40+ mpg’s for a car with an engine that’s supposed to be economical.
Sorry yours isn't working out. My 24 SV (same engine) has enough power on the expressway and around town. At one point I was getting around 40mpg average. Sounds like you have lots of stop n go in your routes. Too bad you didn't realize it wasn't enough power for you on your test drive.
@@anthonyfanella6523 I didn’t have a choice in buying the car. I had to down size our lifestyle due to retirement and becoming a full time caregiver. I had to find something economical and user friendly for an older individual. Don’t get me wrong. I like the design of the exterior and the functionality of the interior. The price point is what sold me. Other comparable brands cost thousands more. The mileage should be better with such a small 4 cylinder. It probably wouldn’t bother me as much if they would have put a larger gas tank in the car. I wouldn’t have to fill up as often if it held 18-20 gallons. I still stand on my comment about no power. It just isn’t there, which is really too bad because it’s easy to find more power if their engineers would just look.
With that low gas mileage, it sounds like your gunning and gassing it like it's a race car. These cars aren't that. When I'm going 65 to 70 mph, I'm getting 30 mpg/36.5 mpg leaving home to work and back daily. I know I can get 40+ mpg if I take a road trip going at the same speeds. These cars must be driven with care.
@@marvin7533 Nope. I don’t always drop the hammer. I believe I did admit if a person tends to have a heavier foot the gas mileage would suffer some. The hp to mpg stats on the Sentra are horrible, no one can defend Nissan on that. It is too easy to generate hp these days, even on small engines. I’ve talked to several Nissan mechanics and they agreed to the lack of power issue and the hesitation in the throttle. BTW, Nobody here drives 65 to 70mph. Our highways are marked 75 and anything less will get you ran over.

$650 a month?? That's terrible!
You’re really knowledgeable about that car. Great review it’s a nice car. I’m really starting to like it.
I am happy with my 2023 Sentra SR., I like the front better, especially with the fog lights.
How much did you drop down on it also what's you're monthly payments? if you didn't buy it full price.
Right this car would look so sick in a NISMO trim with lots of hp, I still own a white 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R SPEC V !
Great video of Nissan Centra SR. Jim Coleman the best dealer in Maryland. Just bought 2024 Nissan Sentra from them great price and great service.
Sentra is a slept on CAR … young adults all about BMWS AND BENZ but a Sentra can do it too dammit
What they really need is to bring back the Nismo version with a turbo that would be fun.
Great review
That's the best looking small car out there
That’s a pretty good looking car that’s for sure. I just wish I had more power. Heck, I’d be excited if they bumped up to 175.
Agreed I would enjoy extra HP for sure too bad they aren’t making a Nismo Version again
Im curious, at the same price point of this trim why not go for the Sentra SR instead?
This is a SR with the premium package
When you say Wireless capabilities, what do you mean? It's not bluetooth?
It uses Bluetooth allow you access to listen to music this Sentra needed a wire to listen. For example the Civic allows you to play your music wireless.
