Wow, I can't believe I missed out on this story! WHERE THE HECK WAS I AT in 2016?!?! Thanks for uploading this gorgeous piece of video game history, might need to actually play it now :P
If this and the prequel are both available for the Xbox One/Series then I might have to buy them both since I never got around to completing the first and this one seems amazing so far and I’m not even half-way through yet👌🏻🔥🙌🏻
@@timehunter9467 Awesome to know, both great games. The previous main 2 are amazing as well-I’ve not yet seen the PSP spin-off but I’ll have to watch a play through of it some time.
Zero continuity, after the last game this is a joke. If meritocracy rains Jensen is easy field Marshall, not taking orders! Maybe overthinking it? This ain’t for me
This game had so much potential!! But the writing and the animations are mediocre at best! :((( As a huge Deus Ex fan I am deeply saddened by this big neglected chance to make another master piece. Too little ideas, theories and ideals in the dialogues, too little symbolism and mythology. Too much chatter about mission planning and other meaningless worldy bla. It's out of proportion for a good Deus Ex game.
I think they did a good job with this, the reason theres sort of a lack of focus on the theories and ideals and a stronger mission planning focus is because Adam Jensen is now working in a situation where thats the reality. Think about it, a office of counter terrorists never stop to talk about the idealistic virtues of what they are doing, they focus on the concrete things in front of em. The old Deus Ex games were different, and dealing with global problems where thinking like that would be relevant. In other words this game is more like a zoomed in scenario where you see the small processes but never zoom out to the bigger picture. As for mythology I mean theres a lot of subliminal messages, like A.R.C having their logo be angel wings and what-not, you just gotta look for it.
Some pieces of the dialogues were a bit silly / unlogical, otherwise I deem them decent. I really love the dry humour of Jensen. Facial expressions were disappointing if you consider the available technology and how cinematic the close combat animations in fact are.
Not sure if square and eidos were doing this yet in 2016 but most likely they were…. So the reason why the writing in this game and many others seems so bland or straight up poor is because most aaa studios have to send their scripts to a sort of approval desk to be checked to make sure the game doesn’t upset certain power groups, people, states etc. there was a cool Chanel that got deleted of YT a while ago thay tracked down one of these companies that does this for developers. It was based out of Israel and the USA. Scary stuff. Basically deus ex sucks because of the stuff the original deus ex predicted lmao. It blew my mind when I found this out but also made sense, it was like all of a sudden 9/10 games have the same story with the same weird forced tropes etc and none of the good stuff from the past as far as writing.

Hollywood already made a Deus Ex movie, its called The Matrix.
1:54:40 "Unless they're storing something physical in there." - Yeah, pieces of the hyron project and Jensen's frozen torso.

These edits are so good, such a good way to expeirence a game when you can't play it, thanks a lot!
Thanks for making this VGM.
Thanks for watching!
Jensen is so fucking bad ass
He´s the crabby twilight-dark good guy. He´s the archetypal hero. You cannot but find him cool.

They should make a living version of this game and the start of the game reminds me of the beginning of the Bourne identity
This is a little too long. I guess imma edit and cut some unimportant parts but btw it's great tho.
Too long for what?
Should have left in the after credits cutscene
Thanks for the video but damn would of been so much better with the side quest
I wish Jensen was my drinking buddy

Mankind Divided is on there, I can’t remember if Human Revolution is now.

@@dragonofhatefulretribution9041 I still play Mankind Divided, such a great game.
you cut takedown animations too early but it's okay
not gonna like, i liked the story line better in the first one. Plus, your partner in this one just comes off annoying sometimes

aside from the look of the characters, they really don't have much in common tbh.
