I'm still far away of understanding Japanese. However I really like the natural way you're presenting this every-day japanese conversation and explaining some parts of in details. It sounds much more natural. Thank you 😊!

Waiter:
Me: THAT MEANS PLEASE WAIT A BIT!!!
This is going to be so much fun in another six months to a year when I reach closer to this fluency. I'm nowhere near yet as I can only read Hiragana, Katakana, and a few Kanji. I can say maybe a few things, but eventually I'll have fun ordering in fluent Japanese.

It would be great if you could put together all the sentences used in the video into a video description down in the comment section and pinned it, then it would truly be a lecture to learn and watch over and over again

ahh you're so lucky you get to live in Japan!
😊👍
Super
Thanks!😆👍👍👍
Super useful video! I noticed that you mostly used 「お願いします」, but in the food allergy section you used 「ください」。Is it possible to explain the switch?
In ordering food or drinks situation, we can say either「ホットドッグをください」 or 「ホットドッグ、おねがいします」. And the same meaning. I wanted viewers to think about it and realize that both can be used to order food and drinks.
.
.
↓ The below is from the textbook that I made↓
【ください is used with て form (Please + verb)】
.
【おねがいします is used as just "please"】
.
Exception!
When we order food or drinks at restaurants or bars,
then we can say
Because ください can mean "give me ... "

Thank you so much for this video! I'm happy with how much I understood, although I'm still terrible at numbers :( :( :( Everyone says numbers so fast I can barely keep up.
I'm going to japan in April and I've only been studying japanese for a few months, so a video like this has helped ease my anxiety since I understood more than I thought I would. I'm going to watch more of your videos! Thank you again.
Thanks for watching! I'm glad that you liked them! I hope you will have a fun time in Japan!! 😊👍

Hello
😊👍
when do you usually say ごちそうさまでした in these situations? Like after paying like in the video, or is it appropriate to say after finishing the meal? Do people usually say it even when they didn't have a lot of conversation with the staff?
In restaurants, people usually say it after paying as I did in this video.
can someone please explain why そうですか is used as it is at 2:28? is it like a rhetorical statement or something?
Question: I don't like the cashier picking up my credit card to pay and I am used to use my phone (i.e. Google pay/Apple pay).
How would I go asking about that? 「非接触決済」sounds overcomplicated to me...maybe「グーグルペイで払えますか。」 would do?
I think it would be better if you used soft subtitles that could be turned off, that was I could watch it without english subtitles the first time and then test to see if I was able to understand the second time.
Thank you for your feedback!
I see you refer to the employee as お姉さん. I would love a video explaining how you address people who's name you do not know. I know using 代名詞 is a "no-no." Id like more info in this!
How to address people in Japanese is quite different from English, right?

When asking about allergies. Can I omit "xx アレルギーの人でも。。。" And just say "食べられるものはありますか?" After saying what I am allergic to?
Yes, you can!

You can say "Genkin de" or "Genkin de iidesuka?"" Watch this video from 4:30 ↓

Do Japanese not experience gluten/celiac disease? And allergies in general ?
why saying はい so many times while you both speak, even when it isn't a question. even while the other haven't finished the sentance but he/she did a little pause when speaking the sentence?
Hi, I've come across one Japanese person on a short teaching arigatou gozaimasu vs gozaimashita. The person says restaurants and shops that say arigatou gozaimashita to customers at the end could offend some Japanese especially bosses in their 40s and 50s that may interpret it as we don't expect to see you again ever and you don't have to come back. This person says to use arigatou gozaimasu (the present tense) instead. But most videos that teach conversations at restaurants and hotels show people saying arigatou gozaimashita when customers are leaving. When I refuse to believe that and say even if some Japanese could get offended there likely aren't many of such people and it's their own problem, not others'. The person gets mad at me and says I'm pathetic. Do you think that person is baka bakashii? Should restaurants and hotels stop using the past tense to avoid offending some Japanese especially bosses in their 40s and 50s like the person says in your opinion? Thank you very much in advance.
Japan’s not on my list of counties to visit.
