When I lived in Chatham County, everything south and east of US17 was swamp and marshland. Why they cost so much is the amount of landfill developer/s needed to elevate the land so Savannah’s wet season will not flood the residences.
hello from all the way in Ohio. i been checking out different places, and seeing how home prices compare to our own. minus the bigger cities like Columbus for us, and Atlanta for you guys. im from the north eastern part of Ohio between Cleveland and Youngstown, and we get similar prices. i notice alot of homes look like some homes here, and depending on the neighborhood, it can average between 175k, to 490k, but those are in the nicer parts. of course you can find cheaper homes less than a 120k, but there often in questionable areas. crime exist in every state, but i know which parts to avoid here. what would you recommend for people there in Savannah.
pretty much downtown and the west side of downtown are the ones known for the most activity. I'm not allowed to say that publicly though, because NAR rather make agents not say the truth, that way they don't have to deal with people that get offended because of it. So I hope that was helpful
@@livinginsavannah yeah but can't you give people a hint, not saying come right out and say, but if they were to ask is this a relatively decent neighborhood, how would you handle that.
The best places to do research on that if to type “Chatham County school district” on google, and then compare it to “Effingham County School Districts, and also “Bryan County School districts”. I don’t have kids at school, so I cannot have an opinion on that .
