I worked for Gulfstream in Savannah and for the most part, loved the city - except for the oppressive summer. I left after a year and a half because of all the mosquitoes and chiggers which plagued me nearly everyday.

I lived in Savannah for about 7 years and I've been thinking about moving for some time. I moved here for school to finish my bachelors at GSU (Armstrong Campus). I would say the city is a decent area but it has become a tourist city and college town due to the growth of SCAD. Not many job opportunities are in Savannah instead people often land employment outside the city like Brunswick or Rincon. Despite that, I would recommend the city for christian couples/families and retirees since the church communities are big here plus the military community is quite strong there too.

Ain't nothing in Rincon or Guyton. Move there only if you are retired. Rincon has all the fast food restaurants and that's it. Everything closes by 11pm. You hv been warned. Ha!🤣ha😂

Savannah is my hometown. The other thing you don’t mention is it’s very hard for us to find a job where we can afford to purchase a home. Pooler Ga is overcrowded. My mother was in real estate for 34 years before passing away so I had First hand in knowing how real estate works growing up in Savannah. And don’t let the hype fool you. Tybee Island is trash. I work in the Reno business. There are plenty of custom builders in Savannah. There are plenty of spec neighborhoods because of growth! And Savannah has just annexed quite a bit more land to build in out west. So having land to build on makes a difference. And most of Savannah is a 4-5 county metro in 2 states. Lots of wetlands prevent construction in Savannah.

I live on Tybee for many years. Since the pandemic; too many people coming here wanting to change it to be more like the places they're leaving that they already destroyed with their voting stupidity. I have to stay here another 4 years, after that I'll keep my Tybee house as a STVR, and move to another beach location I've already found that hopefully won't be invaded by New Yorkers, Ohioans, Jerseyites, Pennsylvanians, and people from other demoncrat dystopias.

I live right below Savannah and you can’t turn the tv on the news and not hear a bout someone getting murdered in Savannah to much ( opposite of white ) crime in that town !!!

You don’t have to be on a river or body of waters to be impacted by hurricane Helene look what she did she traveled 600 miles and then dropped a ton of rain on North Carolina and wiped those people out

Remember the water heater sucks. It stinks like Stouffer and it might take a bath and poop. You gotta buy a filter filter gracious system for the outside of the house and you have a double filter at sink if you don’t do that, your water is gonna be filed.

ok this is my neighborhood.. as a kid i would recommend not buying houses over here, it depends if u have a kid and want them to play with others but the h.o.a people cannot comprehend like they didnt make it out of 1-3rd grade, theres a crazy house and they will pull a firearm on you for trying to use a shortcut that doesnt do anything to their dirty disgusting yard, and they are just mean(keep in mind this is on my friends block on tahoe).

Savannh jobs don,t pay enough to live even middle class, have to be a doctor or dentist, exc. Or like a lot of people work 1000 hours over time a year.

Because it is a democratic city A growing s hole. Crime, drugs . Gangs City in disrepair. Lights don't work. Roads bad. Just a regular scumbag democratic city.

People are not realistic, if you want land then do your homework know the locations, find out water, sewage, distance from city or hospital, property, city, county tax, tag renewal and go from there. Sir, most subdivisions are built by look alike patterns. In Real Estate, the principle of uniformity is what it's called. I once lived in Savannah, (in Atlanta now) you are talking about Savannah, you don't even live in the city. However, what you are saying is true.

People is leaving like that, move down by Fort Stewart or down to Jacksonville Fl. there was a guy from Savannah, that would catch the train from Savannah to and from Jacksonville to work there everyday.
