Calling Big Boss Naked Snake in refrence to any event after operation snake eater feels wrong to me. Because well.. lets be real, Naked Snake died with The Boss at the end of his mission. 😭 I've 100%'ed and replayed it hundreds of times at this point and still plan to play through it again and again. I love the whole metal gear series, even bought a whole ps3 solely to play MGS4 😂
It felt right to me, as Venom Snake is also called Big Boss in mgsv. I called him Naked because I wanted to specify since I felt that more people have played mgsv than mgs3/4. Thank you for watching the video though!

When my original ps3 broke I had already completed the game a little more than 40 times and unlocked everything aside from anything that required beating it on the hardest of difficulties😂. Since I bought the new one I've played through it about 15 times? It's been almost 5 years since I bought it. I've also gone back and picked up other ps3 games I never got to play, so yea. Definitely worth it, in my own personal opinion. Not trying to be another Ad bot 😂 the one I got was cheap at the time. On sale and refurbished came with cords, 2 controllers and no box. Shrink plastic wrap type package. Carried it out in a bag 💀
It's the only way to play MGS 4. There are emulators but the game insta freezes. There's an emulator specifically made for mgs4/mgo2 but I doubt you'll be able to run mgs4 on good FPS without a super PC.

Not sure whether it’s a brilliant or terrible idea, but I think it might at least potentially be interesting to put the original titles through a current generation makeover. I enjoyed Metal Gear Rising, and have no inclination whatsoever to even try playing Survive - obviously Kojima Productions involvement is the key factor that can make or break the story and gameplay. Seems extremely unlikely due to the current state of affairs with Kojima having partnered alongside Microsoft to release an Xbox exclusive title, but I personally don’t want another remake that doesn’t substantially improve upon the series by making it more accessible to the core audience that has never even played MG 1&2 and are only barely familiar with the story. It’s such a brilliant opportunity too, given the fact that the franchise has practically reinvented itself with each consecutive release. At least I can dream 😅
I think you could consider Raiden as a Snake at least up until he "becomes his own person" so to speak. He spends most of the game trying to be like snake and even has the code name at the beginning. He's supposed to be like a memetic copy of Snake rather than a genetic copy like most of the others except Venom. While the entire game of MGS2 is about him turning into his own person rather than a copy, the scene where he gets the sword has always been where I see him go from Snake clone to Raiden (which funny enough is filling the cyborg ninja role). If Venom counts I think Raiden should count as well at least to an extent.
I get your saying but I didn't really count him as he isn't a copy. As you said later on he turns into his own person which I believe most people are familiar with that. He isn't really a Snake, he's just Raiden

Even aside from the obvious physical differences between Venom and BB, I knew he wasn’t Naked Snake when it was said that he needed a translator for Russian. MGS3- Sokolov said “Your Russian is SUPERB!” Dead giveaway
This is "explained", or covered up in MGSV, by saying that the shrapnel Venom took to his brain may have damaged his ability to speak Russian. Ocelot even seems to be caught off guard when Venom outright can't understand an enemy soldier during questioning, even though he likely knew the real reason. Then again, maybe the medic knew Russian before getting his horn, so, how knows.
Physical differences? such as? Tbh My head cannon is that despite Venom being the doppleganger in my head i always thought He looks like Big boss but not 100% carbon copy. And tbh I'm bias to Venom, he is my favorite out of the two.

Can't believe that you didn't mention the MSX games, Metal Gear (1987) and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Big Boss appears as the main antagonist of the very first games, in fact MGS3 and other MGS games starting Big Boss are an explanation on how he became the main villain of these two games. The ending of MGSV also reveals that Venom Snake was the one who got killed by Solid Snake at the end of MG1. Solid started as a rookie in MG1. Seriously, MGS fans should stop ignoring these two games.
Although I mentioned Venom Snake being in MG1 I feel like I could have mentioned Metal Gear more. Unfortunately when I made the video I had no experience with the original Metal Gear games. I'm gonna do better next time!

Describing venom snake as a “fake” isn’t accurate. Both him and naked snake both contributed to the big boss legend so in that sense, hes just as much big boss as naked snake (naked snake says this himself in the cassette where he tells him the truth)…. This seems to be a common habit the mgs community has when labeling venom either as “fake” or not the “real” big boss.
Couple of corrections: -Solid, Naked and Venom also appear in Metal Gears 1 and 2, the very first entries in the series, which aren't mentioned here. Solid Snake was the original main hero of the series, infiltrating the enemy fortress Outer Heaven and destroying the ultimate weapon, Metal Gear TX-55 and killing Big Boss' Phantom (Venom Snake) in a final boss fight. He then goes on to end up "killing" the real Big Boss in Metal Gear 2 with nothing but a makeshift flamethrower (Venom died far more honourably). -Big Boss also serves as the main character of Portable Ops, which used to be canon until Kojima made his own portable entry Peace Walker, which basically replaced it in the canon. -Technically, it's wrong to call Big Boss "Naked Snake" as, well... Snake was Eaten. The Boss (and co.) chewed his naivete and innocence out over two gruelling missions (Virtuous Mission and Operation Snake Eater). However, Big Boss still preferred to be called "Snake" due to his inner shame and guilt over the title in Portable Ops (non-canon), Peace Walker and Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. I think VS does know some languages other than English. Yeah the Sharpnel Thing is Quite Believable But There is an instance where U can see him speaking other languages. For example, Try Playing The Mission "White Mamba" without extracting the Kikongo Interpretator. You will see VS speaking Kikongo To Eli.

The only real Snake is Naked Snake. The rest are clones and you do not play as the same Snake in every game. Also mgsv is a continuation of Peace Walker.

What the fuck mgsv Is not collegated with the other MGS. Snake Is the same person in every game so there are no clones
The only real Snake is Naked Snake. The rest are clones and you do not play as the same Snake in every game. Also mgsv is a continuation of Peace Walker.
