@@bjornrosenzweig8535 Only Elden Ring has consistend desync issues. Also I've never noticed bad hitreg in PvP

@@theshagohod In DS3 I had these Issues as well. Sometimes I just got hit from no attack whatsover or even while rolling. Idk why since my Internet is pretty fast but it was like that probably 80% of all pvp encounters.

​@@bjornrosenzweig8535 It's latency. These types of games don't have servers. They are peer to peer. It matters how good the connection between both players is, not the conncection of the individual. I have gigabit net, but If I match against someone in Brazil or China it's gonna be a horrible experience

Arena and Invasions are two completely different modes. One doesn't satisfy the need of the other. Invasions are a part of the game, always have been, most likely always will be. Just like every other enemy in the game, an invader is an obstacle to be overcome. That obstacle could either be easy or hard, depends on the invader. Invasions are what makes these games unique, what makes coop interesting and what keeps these games alive years after their releases.

@theshagohod invasions by other players are a pain, and it would be nice to have the choice to opt out of them. It ruins the co-op experience. I just want to play a private game with my friends without being bothered by other players who have nothing better to do. We just want people to leave us alone.

Literally me. I only invade in DS2 and DS3. I uninstall ER, think to myself (I'm done. Never playing this again) then I install it again 2 months later, play 3 invasions and uninstall it again because it's just awful. I keep installing it cuz I'm just so hopeful that someday it will become better. Seems like that day isn't coming since we're nearing the end

@@theshagohod Fr, but they made the most money from elden ring so they will propably focus on single player again, wich is a shame. Souls pvp was very special with nothing really comperable and it seems like it will soon die and never come back. I hope they will proof me wrong tho

@@dzikiwitas3889 Yeah. Elden Ring is their most popular game. It also has probably the worst PvP. I doubt FromSoft will try to improve the PvP

If you haven't played the other Souls PvPs, you should! They are a lot more balanced, take more skill and their netcode is a lot better too. They also allow for more ridiculous, funny builds exactly because of that balance and skill gap (also Dark Souls has a lot of goofy items/weapons). The problem is that TT closes the world to other invaders, can be deactivated, and the player limit is lower than in previous souls games. It's not about the fair fight, it's about big scale battles not existing in ER. In Dark Souls 3, Ringed City and Irythill 3v3s were insane. They were hard, chaotic, intense and really fun. Elden Ring doesn't allow that.

@@theshagohod I see, I have some money so I'll check out DS3, I've heard good things and it seems like a game me and my friend would like. Aside from that I've heard about the faction system in the Dark Souls game and honestly think it would've made Elden Ring PVP a lot more interesting. (especially considering how neglected players like invaders and especially hunters are in terms of their tools.

@@NFProphet Dark Souls 3 is awesome yeah. But you need to know that it doesn't have Seamless, as far as I know at least. Covenants were great. Defending certain areas from trespassers (Watchdogs of Farron, Aldritch Faithful, Spear of the Church - boss covenant) Different covenant members had their own personality

You prolly don't know many people that actually play this game pvp.

@@marxist_camarada I have a group of about 4 friends who all also play Elden Ring pvp and I'm pretty well versed on the mechanics not to mention I tend to do invasions quite a bit.

Oh yeah performance and netcode is a lot better on seamless! Unfortunately, there's still some design issues that carry over from the vanilla game and seamless is still pretty janky right now. Horses, host being able to kick the invader out, absolutely no anti-cheat. I'm sure in a few months Seamless will be the go-to for ER PvP tho. I can't wait

Seamless coop doesn't address balancing or hyperarmor whatsoever
