Green peafowl chicks free ranged 2016, No. 1

As in the past year we let our hand raised green peafowl chicks several times a day free running.
The age difference between the youngest and oldest chick is 40 days.
The youngest are now 2 weeks old. This is not always possible and it needs a lot of sensitivity that it is possible.
If someone also would like to try it

Wie in dem vergangenen Jahr auch lassen wir unsere Handaufzuchten täglich mehrere Male frei laufen. Der Altersunterschied zwischen den jüngsten und ältesten Küken beträgt hier 40 Tage. Die Jüngsten sind jetzt 2 Wochen alt. Das geht nicht immer und es braucht einiges an Fingerspitzengefühl damit das möglich ist. Sollte das jemand auch versuchen, VORSICHT!

A great video. I love to see the birds being allowed a little free range to grow their health and wellness. I hope you are keeping the green peafowl separate from the blue Indian peafowl to maintain the separate species, without hybridizing, as green peafowl are becoming endangered as a pure breed in captivity and in the wild. Your birds look so happy and healthy!
