What type of Trike do you have? I have been looking at the evolutions seems like trikes in general are very sensitive to the weather. Do you find can only fly them on very calm days?

The carriage is an Air Creation Clipper 582 and the wing is a North Wing Quest GT5. Trikes are absolutely not restricted to calm conditions - they're used to tow hang gliders, after all, and hang gliders prefer to tow up in rowdy midday thermal turbulence. That said, the weight of the trike and size of the wing play a role in determining the conditions suitable for a particular trike, and of course, pilots must work up to more demanding conditions gradually. I'm not especially experienced but am comfortable flying in winds up to 20 mph with a max crosswind component of 10 mph. Trikes do take more physical effort to fly than other aircraft, but I'm not very strong and it's not an issue for me (I regularly fly 3+ hours and have never felt physically exhausted or sore afterwards).

@@ZuluCharlieFlying There is a place that tows Hang gliders up I'm in the state of Arizona we get lot of thermals in the summer winter can warm up also. I wanted to fly gliders but so expensive I'm also considering hang gliders. There is a place not too far from me they tow hang gliders up with an ultralight. I have always wanted to buy a plane the cost has gotten so high hanger rentals are 5-10 years of waiting. I'm limited to something I can keep at home.
