    Aloha from sunny Arizona!
I started rehabbing a '75 beater last year. Used yer vid on Konis and man am I glad I have those. Now I am installing new window seals (after a whole buncha mechanical stuff, but that's another story). My poor channels were much more rusted and I used the fiberglass method to repair her.
They are finished and I've installed the rear hatch and passenger side non vent window seals.
So glad I came across another one of your videos! My vent glass frames were rusted beyond repair and boy is it a struggle to get all that mess back into one piece!
But they are ready for install and this video is greatness! Beauty!
Mahalo for the ohana you bring to this community.
    Thanks for the leg up!

Thank you so much for the positive feedback! I'm happy to have helped a little bit in your adventure...it makes it all worth it to hear that someone found some useful information in these videos. I appreciate it! Mahalo and best of luck in your restoration project. I agree, those vent windows are a whole other can of worms....I removed one and found one of the pins that it swivels on rusted out, the window was just kinda hanging there (unbeknownst to me!). I ended up buying a used one to replace it with, that happened to have a good re-useable rubber seal already attached.

Thanks so much from down in Australia! This video helped so much as I’ve just popped the 1/4 window in now moving onto the 3/4 glass! Cheers for sharing was a huge help!

Dude thanks for the video. Watched your side window one and it led me to this. Did not even think about the vent windows yet. Again super helpful. Thank you!

My seal has a vertical section at the back of the window frame (Rhight hand side once installed). Did you have to cut the gasket for the pivot ? I have the rear side in, and just did the tail gate glass, now to go do the 3 with the vent window. And 3 years later, I don't have any expectations you remember silly details like that. It's amazing how much we let go. I will sit and figure it out.

Hey friend! I'm so sorry, I can't remember if the gasket had a hole in it already for the pivot, or if I had to cut it....Best of luck!

thanks. nice job. 1 thing I wish you could have shown is the "pinch bolt" head. The bolt that pinches the shaft on the glass and adds friction to keep the window open at 70 mph :)

Great suggestion! I totally forgot to add that detail. Next time!

Wow, thanks for sharing. I have a '71 VW bus that needs lots of work. I saw your sliding door maintenance and rear side window (without vent) installation and repairs, with new rubber seals on both. Originally, I thought I would have it all done by someone else, but your videos have definitely made it clear how I could do it myself. I am inspired.
One of the things that I was thinking I might have to do is replace the inside vinyl on the walls surrounding the windows. It looked like I might have to do that before the window installation, so the rubber seal covers it. What do you think? Could I do it after and just push it under?

Thanks so much for the positive feedback! It feels great knowing that I've helped someone out, especially because owning an old Volkswagen requires you to do so much of the work yourself. It's rewarding, and saves a ton of money! As far as the inside vinyl/headliner, I think originally it was installed before the window seals, but I bet you could tuck in in later. I haven't done this myself, you can see my vinyl is pretty tattered and torn. Let me know what you end up doing!

Great vid, very helpful! Did you have any trouble getting the large window back in?

The larger window was definitely more difficult to get in. I did video that as well. I hope to have that video up soon. Thanks for the positive feedback!
