Gdynia was built by polish government between World Wars for Poland to have a large seaport, because port of Gdańsk was controlled by Free City of Gdańsk which was officially separate state. Because Gdynia was built from beggining, it was possible to create a city in accordance to rules of style called modernism.

idk hows weather in gdansk but in wroclaw we have full sun from 3 weeks and last 10 days is temp over 20 celcius. yesterday was 25. ;))) Lower Silesia is warmest region in Poland.
By the way, I really love Marina's jacket. It's so pretty. (I had to pull one of my winter jackets out of the closet in January I think. It was 39° in Florida and I had to go out and let the ducks out, fill their dishes, changed their pools. I have leftover jackets from Boston. Somewhat cold, colder, coldest. I hear back home this weekend it will be 31°. Oh and all these numbers are Fahrenheit)
23:01 The longest Polish building is a wavy building in the housing estate Przymorze on Obrońców Wybrzeża Street in Gdansk. It was built in the years 1970-1973 and according to initial plans it was supposed to be shorter. However, the architects (Tadeusz Różański, Danuta Olędzka, Janusz Morek) decided that it was worth taking advantage of the free land on which it was built. Falowiec is 13 meters wide, 32 meters high and 860 meters long. It has 16 staircases and eleven storeys with 1793 apartments.
During summer time the beach and the playground are packed FULL 😂 but still there are a couplle of other places in the nearest area where you can find some privacy and space like the park Kaczyńskiego on kamienna góra.
Nie no. Byliście w Gdyni i nie jedliście pączków w Pączusiu czy choćby gofra na Skwerze Kościuszki. Dobrze że możecie z Warszawy kupić w przedsprzedaży bilety na Pendolino za 49 zł i to szybko nadrobić ;) No no. You've been to Gdynia and haven't eaten donuts in Pączuś or even a waffle at Kościuszko Square. It's good that you can pre-purchase Pendolino tickets from Warsaw for PLN 49 and make up for it quickly;)
I see people recommending Malbork and it's castle, but that's like easily a whole entire day of walking in the castle itself and I'm not sure If that would be comfortable with the pregnancy, so just a tiny warning there. :) I'm glad you're enjoying your time here in PL, finding some enjoyment in times like these is important.
False cognates, I learned that term in my foreign language classes in high school. I can't think of any examples though right now. Glad you are feeling relaxed. I have a niche where I live. I've been here 11 years.
You did not see the 2 most beautiful places in Gdynia, and you were so close. 1 Square, kosciuszko and promenade.Which is located about 200 300 m from the Marina. 2 And on (kamienna góra)a stone mountain some 500 700m from the beach.
What time are you doing the charity shopping on Monday? I live just in the middle between your favorite Lidl and the refugee help point on Chmielna, so I can give you a lift or two in my mid-sized car
I sooo much prefer Gdynia than Gdańsk. Gdańsk is always full of tourists. Gdynia also but more like families with kids on young ones, have this cool vibe. And hopefully even in this mad bad times we will have Opener music festial in summer. Hopefully sun will come for all of us both in UA and all over world. Just like in this vid :)
Further up this street you could find fancier ice cream, my girlfriend always takes me there when we're nearby because they have a variety of unconvential ice cream. I always get the most "normal" types tho they still taste nice, as if less artificial than regular ice cream.
Oh how comforting it is to watch how two beautiful people slowly fall in love with your country

I heard many years ago Gdansk was thee place in summer. Getting there in the summer from the US, especially now is just a huge headache. Ukraine was my only hope really.
Nice +1 like from Poland
Come see Bydgoszcz - maybe you will like it :)
That cool yellow-brown building is often called "szafa" which means "a wardrobe". Pity that you didn't let me know you were coming to Gdynia ;)
idk hows weather in gdansk but in wroclaw we have full sun from 3 weeks and last 10 days is temp over 20 celcius. yesterday was 25. ;))) Lower Silesia is warmest region in Poland.
I love Wrocław too. Beautiful city.
"it's really really good" that's your catchphrase now haha,
By the way, I really love Marina's jacket.
Gdynia is the best! I lived there for 3 months last year.
My city
Check Bydgoszcz , 8th biggest town in Poland not far from Gdansk and you can find flat there for about 1500 zl/month
No no. You've been to Gdynia and haven't eaten donuts in Pączuś or even a waffle at Kościuszko Square. It's good that you can pre-purchase Pendolino tickets from Warsaw for PLN 49 and make up for it quickly;)
If You like the coast, move to live to Puck. It is the best place to live, even better than 3city. And You can visit the sea every day :>
I see people recommending Malbork and it's castle, but that's like easily a whole entire day of walking in the castle itself and I'm not sure If that would be comfortable with the pregnancy, so just a tiny warning there.
WOW great ice cream
