Come along for a series that focuses on Poland’s three Baltic vacation cities (trójmiasto) area of the Baltic Sea (Gdańsk, Sopot, and Gydnia). In this first episode of the series, Mary takes a solo trip up to Sopot via train to Sopot, and shows you how easy it to travel from Warsaw to the Baltic. You’ll see the sights, learn about the history, see the food scene, and of course we’re headed to the beach. Sopot is renowned as a hot tourist destination in Europe, and is the place to be in the summer time when visiting Poland. Really, Poland has everything from the mountains to the sea, and is one of the best kept secrets in travel.

Wojtek The Bear (pronounced "Voyteck", 1941-1963) not only did boost the morale of Polish troops during the Monte Cassino battle, he also carried heavy ammunition for the soldiers. He was promoted to the rank of corporal for his service. :)
@@benwars9524 thank you so much for for sharing a little bit more about Wojtek the Bear. I did not nearly have enough time to go into depth about all that he accomplished as a bear in the military. I’m really glad that people outside of Poland can watch this video, and understand why there’s a bear statue by the church 🐻🇵🇱❤️

@@sebskyYyy it can be if you try! Like finding places in advance, taking the train, picnics and stuff like that. Though I do agree with you that Sopot can be a bit pricy, so it’s best to figure out how you want to vacation while you’re up there. Thank you Seb for watching and for your honest comment!
