@Inspiring Minds Custom Tees Global It's hard for me to pick a single best app, as I like to test and use many of them for their different features. I would say Public does a nice job in combining many of the investing features on other apps into one app though. Because the app is still early in its development I feel it's too early to fully compare it to apps that have been around for years. But I do think it has a lot of interesting features, a very user friendly app, and a great team behind it. So as more features get developed on the app I definitely think it has the potential to be up there with the best of them 👍
Just signed up for it and instantly looked up a video such as this one. I am new to investing, the investment noob if you will. I want to better my life but its hard when I am a low income person. I only get less than $900 and I have debt to pay. So I plan on investing about $80/week until my debt is paid off. Hope I chose right with Public.
Thank you for mentioning that Public makes it possible to its investors to gain access to their transfered funds from their bank accounts to their Public investing accounts. 🤝 Thank you for taking the time to make this educational and informative financial investment video. 👏👍 Keep up the outstanding job!

Thanks Sam! Absolutely brother, it's definitely nice to have more options than less! Investing is much more accessible now than it was even five years ago, and that's great for us investors 👊
Does this app always foreigners who actually don't live in USA but want to invest in the stocks ? I want to start investing in US stocks but don't want to go to USA and do all the work needed.
Question...if I slowly purchase slices over time of a certain stock will it eventually be 1 stock if I purchase the full amount over time or just continually show just slices?
I know public is a new investor platform. I’m a little nervous about putting in my banking information and buying stock. I heard people have been having issues about it in the comments. I know some people have issues with it in Robinhood too.
I added funds to Public, and its still not allowing me to use the cash they have of mine to buy stocks, how do i get to use my own cash its in my portfolio
Buying power is based on how much you have available to invest in your Public "cash balance." So as long as you have money in your cash balance that is your buying power 👍

Hey Siddharth, I just checked and they do not have Nintendo at this time. They have a gaming theme of stocks with other gaming companies. But I agree, Nintendo would be awesome!
Thank you so much for the reply. I really believe your channel will become huge, I just wish you uploaded more frequently. I also understand that for high quality content like this it has to spaced out.
Hey Ozzy. No worries, Public still lets you invest in slices of hundreds of stocks, they just redesigned the app a bit. I no longer see a specific "slices" tab either. But you can explore stocks on their themes page (the magnifying glass icon) or you can also search for any stock on that page as well. Once you click on a stock and click on "buy" it will show if you can invest in slices of that stock. And with most stocks you can, but it will show you if you cannot 👍
Hi, I tried to use public platform but it didn't allow me . Saying we have to be min of US citizen to invest as it didn't allow any other peoples from other country.
Hey Kunal. Yes, unfortunately Public is currently only available in the US. If you are outside the US I would recommend checking in your phone's local app store to see which investing app alternatives are available in your country.
Hey Marcus. I haven't tried the Stock Pile app yet so I can't compare them yet unfortunately. But I can say that I have found the Public app to be very user-friendly so far 👍

Hey Clyde. To find out if a stock or ETF you're interested investing in has a dividend you just have to click on it. Once you open up that stock or ETF's page you just have keep scrolling down to the bottom where it says "Stats." Is this app similar to M1 finance? Like all of your slices becomes a pie? Might switch over but I’m not sure yet. Just being able to buy or sell stocks at anytime compared to M1 finance’s restricted trade windows sounds a whole lot better.

Yes I will for sure hit the like button. Great video. I’ve never done any investing through apps or any other format. That being said on the subject of taxes. How does that work with this. Does the app automatically take a portion towards taxes out when you generate profits?, or is there something that we would need to print out and present to the person doing our taxes? Sorry if that is a weird question but If I’m gonna pull the plug and make an account with this app I just want to be sure I’m doing everything correctly and legally.
Sorry if I wasn't clear, but you cannot invest in the company, Public, itself. They do not have a ticker symbol. They are not a public company listed on any stock exchange.

Is the dividend rate that actually pay you get for holding each share? Also the dividend yield is way off from the dividend rate. Is it based on a guesstimation?
Hey Diana, a company's dividend or dividend rate is expressed as a dollar figure and is the combined total of dividend payments expected. The dividend yield is expressed as a percentage and represents the ratio of a company's annual dividend compared to its share price.
