We appreciate it Sam!
Great video 👍)
I work with them at Lax
Are those Rosenbauer Panthers? What about the non-ARFF side of LAFD operations at LAX?
Yes, good eye! Our topics are narrow on each video to keep them to the desired time but we have a list of future episode topics so keep an eye out and subscribe!
@@lafd already subscribed! Thank you for your reply. Stay safe...from a fellow first responder from the UK.
We have LAX LAFD station 51 housed just east of Terminal 8. They are a 6-man house with 2 medics on the Rescue and 1 medic along with a FF, Captain, and Engineer on the engine. They respond to all non-aircraft, fire and medical calls at LAX. We also have a 12-man HazMat Task Force just off the airport. They are literally housed just outside the gate, Northeast of Terminal 8. None of our Structural or Non-Airport rigs are Rosenbauer
@williambarnes7664 it's fascinating seeing the way the department manages the different risks and types of incidents that it can face, the resources that are available, A really good department.
LAX/LAFD TASK F0RCE 80"s & TASK FORCE 95's & ENGINE 51
What's the difference between engineer and apparatus operator?
Thanks for the question! In the LAFD, we have different ranks and roles for those who drive/operate the Engine versus the Truck. The Apparatus Operator drives the tillered fire truck while the Engineer operates the fire engine. To get more details, recommend visit www.lafd.org/about/about-lafd/apparatus
