I love this so much! I saw Coldplay in concert in Chicago in 2008-ish. It was amazing!! It was such a moving experience to be there and feel the energy of their songs that I fell in love with over the years. I'll never forget the colorful paper butterfly confetti at the end. I still have some of those pieces I kept from the show as keepsakes.
This is my first time being able to play a whole song on the uke! Thank you for this simple yet beautiful tutorial, I just loved hearing your calming voice sing! I’m only 16, but I hope one day to play this song for my future children :)

I read that yellow was the favorite color of Queen Elizabeth II. Yes, the music of this song is beautiful. But, I can't quite get on board with loving the lyrics. They express somewhat excessive love & devotion. (And the creator of song burned out his devotion)
@@TheUkuleleFool Today, I started trying to learn to play the great Tom Petty song "Learning to Fly, (but I ain't got wings) I really like the music & the lyrics. It is supposed to be an easy song to play on ukulele. But, you have to get into the groove - correct timing to change the two main chords F & C on the UPSTRUM. So at present I can only play the Core - baseline of song. Still, it is a good start.

I love coming back to this song. I think it’s pretty popular in the uke world.
This is getting popular in the uke world. I’m taking copies to my next uke group. Thx, Lisa!
In Dm the other chord is Am7 - look ma, not fingers. You also need a Gm.

Not played this enough that I can just hit it and go. So practising on this video rather than the 4-chord book.
I love this song. The timing is tricky.
