Hells Kitchen US Season 7 - The Most Shocking Exit Ever - Nilka's Meltdown Complete *HQ*
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 сер 2024
- The complete meltdown and refusal to leave the kitchen of Nilka followed by Ramsay leaving her with some very unexpected words of advice.
One of the most compelling and extraordinary exits in Hells Kitchen history.
I remember reading somewhere that Ramsay gives a more heart to heart goodbye to most of the chefs when they leave the show. He knows this is a reality show/contest and only 1 will win, so he wants to make sure the others continue what they love. There is most likely 1 person he didn't do this for, but they know who they are and can speak for themselves.
Are they a bitch?
Who?

Oh god that guy
Something tells me Nilka did not want to leave.

You don't say!
I had a slight feeling too, but I just wasn't sure....

I just heard that 😂😂😂😩😩😩
I love how Chef Ramsay kicks her out then says you have done well
Barbie's Back No, He really believes that Nilka did well❤️❤️
@@thebalticpower2301 No he came back to get the jacket from her. Ramsay already stated it before in an aftershow interview. The kitchen went down only because of that one person, as soon as she left, that was the biggest sigh of relief from Ramsay and they even completed service.
@@yunsha9986 From what source? According to the producers they all get to keep their jackets.
@@berwicksan716 and what source told you that they all keep their jackets? See how this works? We can just keep asking for a source from one person to the next, otherwise it's all hearsay.
I called BS on what you said.
Yeah he just said it to get the jacket back
I love how Ramsey can get personal and sincere when he needs to. He wants what’s best for the restaurant, even if it means cutting someone off. But the way he treated her after the fact shows his passion for the industry. He sees potential, just not well-executed potential.
Nilka did it better than Jason
True. Besides, many of the winners end up either being sous chefs at his restaurants before they rise or leave in a year or 2. She may not have been ready. Even the Sous Chefs at Ramsay's restaurants have to be exceptional because of the literal breakneck speed and volume required!
That's clearly evident when you watch later seasons. Jon-who was a natural comes to mind. Hearing his background story, Ramsay saw what he could be. Same with Julia and Milly. Where I seen it most was when I saw Ramsay running a culinary program in a prison. Training inmates for life after prison. I find that awesome!
I think he just wanted the jacket
I think he saw that even though she was defeated, she did not want to go down without a fight, and that to him shows passion.
1:18 I still believe If she had just walked out quietly he probably wouldn’t have kicked her off the show until proper elimination
Yes. She still would've been eliminated that night no doubt, but at least it would've been a proper, dignified sendoff.

No, I honestly believe that he didn't want to be the reason she jumped off a bridge.
The simple fact that he was willing to take the time to say goodbye and speak to her, speaks volumes.
I don’t think he’s done that for the other chefs he kicked out. I should watch season 7 to find out how good she really was.
Anyone here after watching Zeeeko's animation?

Yup
Here is the thing, Chef could have not met her when she got into her cab, but he did it anyway. Nilka wasn't ready and the way she exited proved it. She was still a decent chef, but when push came to shove, she couldn't hold her weight.
Not only that, when he did meet her at the cab, at least calmer heads prevailed. She needed to realize that Hell's Kitchen is a ton of hard work...under pressure. She couldn't handle it, and that's why he wanted her gone early.
Agreed!
About d jacket, that's what they have producers for but he wanted to build her back up!
Loved it!
Marissa-sue Rattansingh
They had producers for that? Uh-uh. There's a reason he wanted her gone...and it wasn't the producers taping him getting her jacket. Did you even watch the clip?
John Lee
Clearly u didn't understand me.
There was no need for him to personally retrieve the jacket from her. It looked to me like he also wanted to personally say goodbye and build her self esteem back up, before sending her off.
Marissa-sue Rattansingh
Well, since she was eliminated, he had to get the jacket. That's how it is on each episode when someone leaves (except during the final 3)...they *must* turn in their jacket.
"No, Chef. Don't say that. Please!!"
That was sad
"Take your jacket off and fuck off!"
Lmao!
Sounds like Chef Ramsay wants to kill her
I got such a kick out of that
I heard she had the driver circle the block and snuck back in. Legend has it, she's still hiding in the dorms to this day.
😂😂😂😂
She knows where she is, she can speak for herself
The fact that she was willing to acknowledge at the end that - even if she'd like to believe otherwise - she isn't ready yet for the position really made me respect Nilka. Obviously the reality TV competition environment wears people down. But that was a very mature realization. Respect
Nilka was frustrated and refused to leave the kitchen Nilka was told to leave Ben and jay was not happy with Julia’s behavior

I feel so bad for her I can tell that she really wanted this 😔
It may have been her destiny as she put it, and she clearly has passion. But this wasn't the place for it. There are other places and other opportunities. I hope she's doing well, but she handled this very poorly.
@@houseofthesupermen377Nilka was devastated. What else could she have done?
She could have simply went off camera to let out her emotions, but she decided to make a big scene. I get she's upset, but still.
She was in a competitive environment. Emotional immaturity does not fit in such a high-performance environment or in any realm of human endeavor for that matter.
Chef Gordon got hella mad when she yelled back I'm going! 🤣 Then the 1:28 "No, Chef. Don't say that. Please!" This had me rolling 🤣 , sad but funny.

Wow.. People hating on Gordon Ramsay. Well, here's something to think about. the show is called HELL's kitchen. So in other words, he is SUPPOSED to give them HELL. I know that he's being rough, but what would make this show interesting if he were nice? THINK FIRST BEFORE YOU COMMENT.
Exactly...Hell's Kitchen is supposed to be hard. REALLY hard. It's not like MasterChef (he yells there, but not as much; especially on the Junior edition, when he's not supposed to cuss at the kids, as that would make for a bad example).
not only that but his reputation is on the line as well. if he sends out shit food how does that look for him. "man just went to chef ramsey's place and the food sucked". that would hurt his credibility
it's for entertainment yes...but he's also putting them through a majorly intensive and stressful period of work like they will never experience again to determine who can handle it and who can't. There's a method behind the madness.
Yeah.Indeed.
@Tiger Opal welcome to the world of comedy. If no one is suffering, then nothing is funny.
I genuinely felt sorry for her in the moment. I’m glad Gordon gave her a prep talk afterwards, she honestly needed that
He's awesome because he says that non of it is personal but he's preparing them for the mental stressful burden of running a restaurant. He's making them work in the most hellish stressful situations ever so he can see who can handle it. Because just like in hell's kitchen and any other business one mistake can send you to a screeching halt and it wont be pretty.
Those who say he just goes out to get the jacket... Uh, I don't think so. He saw someone with passion, and considering she may be feeling like utter shit considering someone she may have admired just fired her, he'd probably want to give her some confidence and some useful words of advice... I've seen people leave before without official Elimination, and Gordon didn't go for the jacket. I've seen one where he sent Jean Philippe to get the jacket. And now that I think about it, if it was just to get the jacket, why was it so necessary for it to be on screen? If it was for the jacket only, I think it would have been cut out in editing... Yeah, I think the theory about the jacket is out the window by now.

This is the only time I felt sorry for a contestant. She really wanted to win and I honestly think that she's a good chef who just had one really bad night. Nevertheless, if Ramsay let her back in then it would've made him look wishy washy and weak.
The reason she was asked to leave Hell’s Kitchen was because she yelled back at chef, and he was already at his boiling point. At first, he just said get out which just means fuck off back to your dorm, I think this was the first time he ever kicked someone out of the restaurant during dinner service.

Legend has it that Nilka is still pleading her case in that same kitchen today.
You can't help but feel bad for Nilka the most. She definitely tried her best throughout the competition but you could see how she was losing her will.
She wasn't rude, she wasn't an overly dramatic little twat stain, she just overestimated herself too much.
Agreed I believe her meltdown was just from the stress and I mean working for Gordon Ramsey and being on such a competition show it’s constant high stress situations
Yeah, this shit looks stressful as hell
@@roadworkahead8967 yeah, of course the stress is important as he says a lot, if they can't handle the stress in hell's kitchen, how can they handle the stress of running a resteraunt.
@@wolfwing1Working in a real restaurant is very stressful too, but I can't imagine it would be as bad as the HK setup. Remember, in HK, the contestants are humiliated on national TV if they make a mistake, people are less willing to help them if they're drowning (since everyone is out to be the last one standing at the end of the day), they tend to not get a lot of sleep so they're not at 100% to begin with, it's been alleged that producers mess with things in the kitchen to cause drama, and they have zero privacy since they're filmed 24/7, so it's near impossible to destress after a bad day. It's been said that the only way for contestants to get some kind of privacy would be if they started singing, because Fox would have to pay royalties if copyrighted lyrics made it into the episode. So apparently there's a lot of behind the scenes singing that we never see, but even then it'll get tiring at some point to keep reciting Taylor Swift songs every time you're stressed out.
1:22 what I came here for , how about you?
All I had to type was “take off your jacket” and was prompted to “take off your jacket no chef please don’t” I fkn love UA-cam

Why is everyone against Ramsay here? She fucked up so much then got told to just get out of the service, she made it worse for herself by yelling like a child, she would've stayed in the show if she hasn't yelled, then she refused to go which just made it seem like she has something wrong with her
She was doing well prior to this episode, but she just didn't have it that night. She gave it her all and really wanted to win. You can't get mad at someone for having passion. At the same time, if Ramsay was soft on her then it would've been unfair to the other contestants. It sucks, but Ramsay did the right thing.

It's why he stays to help them. Guys he wasn't going for the jacket. There have been many times people outright left without an official elimination and he didn't run out for the jacket. Even if he does do that, they probably cut it out in editing. They only actually showed it once and that was with Jean Phillipine. He saw her as someone with passion in their eyes. Not just passion but *determination* to be a great chef. She's also probably feeling like complete and utter shit right now after that breakdown so maybe he wanted to comfort/console her. _(yes, he can be harsh and present to you a cold truth, but that's too bring out the better chef in you. Gordon is a complete hardass when he’s angry, but when he’s had a moment to himself to recompose and think something carefully out to say to a person he completely mentally broke, he’s the kindest soul, telling somebody he just screamed at to fuck off out of his kitchen to not give up on their dreams and to keep at it, brilliant.

Hard to know, as the show is heavily edited.
Yup, at first he only told her to get out. Many chefs have been asked to get out of the kitchen without being eliminated. But Nilka screaming at him was the final straw. Gordon does not accept any disrespectfull behavior in his kitchen, and at that moment she did. If she had quietly left, she would have a proper more dignified elimination later on.
