One mistake. As you slowly push the rebar into the hole, you must rotate anti-clock wise to ensure that the epoxy doesn't squeeze out because the rebar threads will keep the epoxy down. But when you rotate clock wise like you did, the threads will bring the epoxy up and out of the hole. Also make sure you clean the hole well and try to use rebars that are not rusty like the ones here. Clean them with a wire brush or soak them in a rust dissolver so that the epoxy adheres to the rebars completely. And its not a chemical, its an Epoxy.
You are wrong in the rotation advise. The lines are on opposite direction on the two sides of the rebar, so the direction of the rotation doesn't make a difference! As per Hilti instructions, the rebar need to be pushed inside and turned a little in both directions. And thats all.
@@qarayen1725 Can I ask you how many rebars you have installed WITH YOUR OWN HANDS? I have installed hundreds of rebars using Hilti 500 over the past 5 years and I am talking from observed personal experience, hundreds of times. Do you have this physical experience? The threads on the rebars we have here locally run only once side along the length of the bar. If you turn the rebar clockwise as it penetrates, the adhesive oozes out far more then when twisting anti clockwise, which makes perfect sense because the threads run one direction and as a result it locks the adhesive from pushing upwards. Ofcourse this is influenced on the design of the rebar, so maybe for some bars you will need to twist both ways if the threads are symmetrical (ie. run in opposite), of turn clockwise for opposite threads. In my experience, the local rebars we have from various countries all have the same design. And I know there are various design worldwide. Can you show where the instructions from Hilti that state that turning should be in "both directions"?
