Being X's goal is to get mankind to believe & worship the gods again. Being X's reason for putting Tanya in the situation she is in is to get her to believe & worship god. She however, has hardened her heart & proudly & stubbornly refuses to do so. But the genius & irony of how Being X has played his hand is that Tanya is causing those around her to believe in god instead. Examples: Dr Stugel, converts from Atheist to a believer after receiving "Divine Inspiration," All her enemies who are praying to god to aid them in her destruction, all around her who hear her prayers & are moved by her "faith."
That last scene with Tanya hating all the smoking going on but being unable/unwilling to ask superior officers to not smoke in front of a small child... It's so adorably _human_ from a character who loves to talk up how much of a psychopath they are.
Regular imperial army mages have the type 93. Tanya has the Quad core type 95. Her battalion and as her back up use the type 97 Dual core. She is about to change the paradigm of air power from the red baron to top gun. Welcome to the aimbot 9000.
Viktoriya's family were refugees from the Russian Federation(?) the only country bordering the Empire not at war with them at this time. Well, she did get to shoot Being X, kinda. Each mage has a unique mana signature like a finger print so each country has a file on the stronger mages, the "named" mages so they can detect when Tanya shows up. At least tiny Tanya is below most of the smoke. lol. Good work Chris video and audio worked great.
Yup, her family run from Russy because of Communism Revolution and her Family Lineage have mage blood through them for ages, and if i'm not wrong Communism has anti-mage policy that will send mages to gulag, which is ironic because in the end they're need mage to fight Empire.
The anime is great and a much better handled adaptation than many other LN anime have been, HOWEVER obviously time/episode/budget reasons will always be a thing so as always if you want the full details (since you seem to really enjoy the story) check out its book or manga counterpart. Some small examples of things that never get explained in the anime are: - How this worlds magic works and what its limits are - Loads of more detailed military, political and historical information on this world - Inner thoughts of not just Tanya but also the people shes talking to in any given scene - which is the main source of comedy actually since everyone is misinterpreting her and she them 99% of the time
Just to drop some info: Tanya is most likely supposed to be a version of Erich Hartmann, the most successful air to air ace in history. While her group is most likely supposed to be an analogy to Jagdgeschwader 52 which is considered the most successful one in history with a ratio of 20:1 and that is with them having stopped counting their kills at some point. The story is only man versus god on the surface level. What you are actually supposed to think about, which got lost in the anime adaptation is that the history you might be told in history books is not correct and that the proverb of "the winner writing the history books" is more than just a proverb. The other important aspect is a critic about modern society that reduced humans to a resource. Even in what we perceive as rather dark times the life of a person held a different weight, yet here comes Tanya with a modern approach on how to perceive a persons worth and her counter part is not an enemey, but one of her own allies that realizes this and is disgusted by the modern view on a persons worth and human life.
You guys are funny and I'm enjoying this reaction series... but DAMN, Tanya is the exact opposite of Leeroy Jenkins. I don't understand that comparison at all. Leeroy charged in without a plan and f'd everything up for everyone around him and got them all killed. Tanya is a fantastic strategist and leader... the comparison shouldn't even exist.
For me, Tanya's doing all this for survival and a whole lot of spite. Being X, imo, just doubles down because why not, when he's already done so much and managed to convert an atheist scientist in doing so.
This series is actually up on youtube in some countries so I can see why you'd have a hard time with copyright stuff. The editing's all good though, we're mostly here for the reactions anyway.
26:45 in ln mc wasn't even an asshole. being x was just that petty he quoted 10 commandments and that's why Tanya turned out as a girl she mentioned that she didnt break any, lust is normal for men so he turned him female. he said he never killed anyone but he did get hyped about getting a headshot in a fps game so x made sure to put her in a war because thats how petty he was

Like always, every Tanya problem in the end because.....Tanya....

Fun reactions for a great series. Audio and Video are pretty good... all things considered. Your efforts are appreciated.

1 month later, it's still up and I'm watching for the first time after discovering you through Helluva Boss.

I love that tanya can come in an lay waste to the battlefield but they still need to worry about logistics and other shit
