I'm not. Modern AVGN is absolutely lazily made and terrible overall. James still does it because practically everything else he's done failed horribly so this is the only thing he can do that still makes some money for him. It's sad, really, he's forever stuck with the project he's least passionate about except he looks so old it's not endearing anymore. Plus, something about modern equipment on a set (not even a room anymore) feels so plastic and inorganic.
@@Modmod87 that's kindoff the problem. His other projects weren't able to get nearly the attention avgn got and never really made it out from the niche they got stuck in. Honestly, that's just the UA-camr problem since it the passion projects aren't profitable then you gotta shelf them in order to pay the bills.
because everything looks too plastic, same for the glasses. look at old episodes and he legit looks like a dude who dresses nerdy, glasses didn't stand out and his shirt was all unironed so he looked unhinged. now everything has to look polished and pristine. he doesn't have the room anymore from what i remember, it's a set he looks like he's trying too hard
I was actually a bit pissed off that in one episode he says something like "Do you want me to wear the same underpants as well?". Dude, we just think that the shirt doesn't suit the character, no need to get so defensive.
I had some fun doom wads years ago. One swapped the sound effects oout for Star Trek ones. One turned the imps into Barney the dinosaur. And of course the one that put naked ladies images on the walls. Silly fun stuff.
