I wonder if the player didn’t really want to go overboard with his money so he just got the cheapest materials that he could find and had them build it or what if it was a getaway home during his time with I’m guessing the Raptors and his other home was located elsewhere You know how some players have two different homes (one for the season and one for the offseason) the season home doesn’t have to be the nicest (just somewhere to stay during the season) while his main home is located in the states And back then they didn’t have the nice materials that they have now
For the windows to be so bad, it appears the drip cap flashing was never installed. In the states you found that fairly often in the homes constructed from the middle 80"s and into the 90"s. Was their way of cutting expense. In areas that didn't get a lot of rain it wouldn't be noticed until after the warranty on home expired. People didn't have any recourse. Also, some builders put in copper pipe with pin holes in them. That wasn't noticed until years afterwards either. Worked on one job that purchased sheetrock that had be salvaged after ship had sunk, and was hung in many homes. Needless to say it was basically falling apart when it was hung not to mention the mold that was treated with bleach. Builders did a lot of unprofessional and weird things. But for this home I love the 2 large chandeliers. Not much else I would call redeeming qualities. Sure the home would have been nice when it was first built. Great video.
I just came across your channel, & I love it!! I love all things nostalgic. I’m a big fan of diner’s, & I really enjoyed the one you did at the old diner.
I think most of these 'abandoned mansions' were owned by unscrupulous people who likely racked up mountains of debt by trying to be status seeking social climbers; then lost everything when the truth could no longer be hidden. Hiding behind a mask of denial never works. AND ya, given the amount of decay, crappy builder indeed. Makes you wonder how long the NEW builds will last given these massive land takeovers by 'developers' who are piecing together townhouses that look like they'll fall flat in one big wind!
Whatever home builder built this home did the worst job ever. A thirty year old home shouldn’t be leaking and having mold out of every crevice. Wow I hope other homes they built aren’t falling down around them. There’s nothing about this house that is appealing to my taste. But thanks for showing it!
I like this house. Except for the creepy, unfinished basement 😦 The master was really nice in its time. Such a shame it has left to decay. Great video 😊 thank you for sharing Ethan 😊
I think people that bought these huge homes were living way above their means trying to fit in with the rich but they couldn't keep it up and lost everything.
I'm thinking that the water tank in the loft burst and, because the house was empty at the time, the water was not shut off at the mains so the whole ground floor was just swimming in water for ages.
For those saying poor build quality or design… this is typically American. Standard quality of that time, and has decreased in America since. But Americans buy it so must be good enough for them.
So I was right Yea back then they didn’t have the nice materials that they have now (now they have better wood, weatherized windows, weatherized drywall, better insulation, duel pane blinds, real hard wood flooring not faux wood flooring, better nails and screws) plus when making houses now they use a support brace to keep the wood corners together
The house has brick, and you need to have air space, like an inch or so, behind the brick to allow moisture to drain. Brick also needs weep holes at the bottom. This may be why there's water problems. I agree it's very generic for $6 miilion.
Wug . Well , those windows next to the kitchen are pretty tacky , as well as those " fake grandiose greek " columns . Huge place , had lots of potential but it's shot . That grand chandelier in the entrance is lost between a balcony & the front window , bad idea , hard to appreciate it . Great find , keep going young man . Later 👍
Tis a shame the house wasnt built well or taken care of as it should have been. Lacked cohesiveness i its design. Too many kinds of floors. Would have been better with good hardwoods throughout. Certainly ample space and seemed like a beautiful lot. These houses i think should have longer than just a thirty year lifespan. Wouldnt be outrageous to improve and restore. It would certainly be better than having more ugly townhouses and no openspace. Thanks Ethan for sharing. Take care be well and stay safe in your travels.
Nothing seems to last in America. It's like they could not be bothered to make it nice or different. They shoved a lot of crap in there too that looks so ghastly 1990's style. The Builder was a real cowboy so bring in the bulldozers ASAP!
Looks like a pop up house Ethan 😊 not for me tho best thing to this house was the chandeliers. And oh that mold??? Yuk !! What a smelly spooky look that black mold lol😂 don’t blame you at all from being grossed out on the ceiling. But thanks 😊 again for showing this big house in Ontario. Always a pleasure Ethan 😊👍
Wow, 30 years the house built cheaper, and please use a mask for your health with all that black mold. ❤ I agree the water damage never seen this bad. 😮
From the outside it looks like it would be a really nice inside, but I really didn’t like the layout of this house from the inside Ethan there’s just something about it that I didn’t care for and the way it was built was very poorly. It’s so sad because it looked like it would be beautiful on the inside as it is on the out but to me it was not but thank you for sharing. Take care and be safe.🫶🏻🤠
Nice house but wat a mess . It's unimaginable all the mold in this house , it's full of mold . I think the house u did Friday or so was in better shape than this . Take care
I'm sure this was a fairly nice home when it was newer. It looks like something went terribly wrong, I'm guessing a faulty roof maybe. Possibly it wasn't lived in at the time that the problem occurred, but it has left its ugly mark nonetheless. I did love the look of the staircase and the large window. The one room with the multiple windows was a bit strange, and not very aesthetically pleasing. The kitchen and breakfast area was pretty nice. 🤟✌️
Big house that tried to be grand/classy. Weird floor plan and cheap materials used throughout. Be careful in these mold infested places, Ethan. Thanks, as always, for taking us along.
That little octagon room you were in in the very beginning was not a family room way too small.... would have been a wonderful house and it's day!! I sometimes wish when the shower is closed and you can't see the inside that you would show that to us, just a thought.
I worry about you in all that mold, it can make you so sick!! You should take some kind of mask with you just incase you find homes like this! You do great work!
You really need to ask that question? Hey get signed or move on to a real paying position, they are finally making good Maloney and start buying stuff (much like a lottery winner) when the contract ends or they get older and don’t play as much or are in big demand the money dries up , but the taxes and property insurance don’t stop and they can’t pay for their house any longer..they lose it… most people are stupid, just ask your average person what their interest rate is on their home or auto loan most don’t even know anything but what their payment is…. If you come into decent money and forget where you came from when you were poor , it’s your own fault, don’t live the high life just cause you signed a 20 million contract…live like you are still poor till you can add significant more wealth to the portfolio, then you can upgrade to a better home…like they say it’s worse having money and lost it than never having it at all…
Please wear the appropriate masks for mold when you are in these moldy places. This kind of mold can not only ruin your lungs but mess up your brain. You need to see the story about the very successful doctor, I think in Texas couldn't practice medicine anymore because of the effects of the mold in the house he was living in. I love your vids but you go into too many moldy places to ignore what the mold could do you in the long run. Luv ya, PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!
I see why it was abandoned. What a crap built house. Sad really. You know there was a few years in the 90's that even Car paint was even cheap and came off vehicles in a short period of time. It was either the paint or the clear coating. Just a crappy, cheap period, trying to cut costs I guess. Guess they figured why not make cheap house materials as well.
Listen we don’t need to hear all your comments on the dated bs the quality the construction the problems shape etc …. We want to know whose house it was … period !!!
Very bad construction. What looks "good" is in the eye of the beholder. You sure have such a vivid imagination. You sure hate 1990 architecture. How can you be so surprised with the mold throughout, with so much water damage. Not repairable. Too much water damage. It would have been a beautiful home.
Whatever home builder built this home did the worst job ever. A thirty year old home shouldn’t be leaking and having mold out of every crevice. Wow I hope other homes they built aren’t falling down around them. There’s nothing about this house that is appealing to my taste. But thanks for showing it!
That place is the epitomy of shoddy work and cheap material!
That is the worse built house that I’ve ever seen !
I wonder if the player didn’t really want to go overboard with his money so he just got the cheapest materials that he could find and had them build it or what if it was a getaway home during his time with I’m guessing the Raptors and his other home was located elsewhere

Totally Agree with You there.
Agree Minni. Looks like the Dodgy Brother's built this house 🏠.

I would end up with a sinus infection after walking through that mold infected house. Gross
That guy said that house was nice tf does he mean that house was nice my honest opinion about that house it looked nasty it has so much mold nasty
Hi Ethan...another cracking find...funny shaped rooms ..love the big windows and chandelier, very grand .
Be safe ,well and happy Ethan 💋
So very sad. Probably a lot of good memories here. Thanks Ethan Minnie. Another awesome tour. ❤
I see what you mean, it looks like a office building not a home. A long picture window makes more sense, but too each their own ❤
THANKS! SHARED THIS OUT. WITHOUT DAMAGE THAT HOUSE WAS CHEESY. CAN'T BELIEVE THE PRICE EVEN WITH WHAT EVER LAND WENT WITH IT.

There are a lot of small, odd shaped rooms. Very poor workmanship.
I like this house. Except for the creepy, unfinished basement 😦
The master was really nice in its time. Such a shame it has left to decay. Great video 😊 thank you for sharing Ethan 😊
Not really that grand and cheaply built...
I think people that bought these huge homes were living way above their means trying to fit in with the rich but they couldn't keep it up and lost everything.
Hi Ethan
It’s terrible no one took care of the house! It looks like pipes burst some where
Hi Ethan 😊 built by shady builder 😢
Hello Ethan, thanks for that lovely video!
Do have to maintain the roof...always keep the water out...and from the basement as well...
I'm thinking that the water tank in the loft burst and, because the house was empty at the time, the water was not shut off at the mains so the whole ground floor was just swimming in water for ages.
Thank you Ethan for the tour of the place and I’m enjoying this one too 👍❤️😎
Good to see you're with Noah! It scares 😮 me when you explore alone. Too bad this place has deteriorated so much, it had to be grand when new.
Alot of it wzs built cheaply and unfortunately it shows..
That Chandelier must have been all the Rage in the 90s cuz I've seen it in many Houses
Good to hear the Waz up you guys with peace sign salutation. 😊
For those saying poor build quality or design… this is typically American. Standard quality of that time, and has decreased in America since. But Americans buy it so must be good enough for them.
So I was right

5 years and you still got me ❤❤❤😂❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊
Great video Ethan, love that staircase. So sad though, how that house wasn't kept nice looking, looks like it was cheaply made. Love the chandelier.
Really sad waste...of time money and there should be a family living tbere...

It's OK of a house. Nice kitchen. Gross mold and floors. I thought the basement would be flooded. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

😅6/15 was Mom's birthday. She would have e been 92.I wonder if anyone will be allowed to take the good items.

Hiya Ethan 👋Thanks as always for a great find. Thanks for the tour of HVAC and ELEC , you know I like the mechanical 😃 Take care and stay safe 🤗Donnie
Awesome video as always Ethan! 👍👍❤️🤘
The house needs love and care. But if it needs to go they may build another nice house in its place.
Nothing seems to last in America. It's like they could not be bothered to make it nice or different. They shoved a lot of crap in there too that looks so ghastly 1990's style. The Builder was a real cowboy so bring in the bulldozers ASAP!
This is Canada , but same idea of shoddy construction.
Hello Ethan 👋I’m watching the great video now and I love the staircase 👍❤️😎
Ethan, call that the fortune cookie house. Cause of all the different phrases on the walls.
This house reminds me of the fresh prince of Bel Air later seasons.
it would have been a nice place . thanks for sharing . ❤❤ stay safe love ya
Ethan that was a good one wouldnt the be some money in that chandleer cheers for the xplore
I would have skipped the basement. Too dark.
Wait!! I need that lamp behind your head!!!
Looks like a pop up house Ethan 😊 not for me tho best thing to this house was the chandeliers. And oh that mold??? Yuk !! The house was beautiful before all the mold.
From Virginia great job 💖
Get out of there
Big house that tried to be grand/classy. Weird floor plan and cheap materials used throughout. Be careful in these mold infested places, Ethan. Thanks, as always, for taking us along.
I had to smile when you mentioned The Sims :). I actually *do* play Sims 4 and, yes, builders really do love their windows LOL.
Awesome 👍🏾 cool but sad
Which NBA players home was this?
"The Parkay is done, it's done." Love it😂
That little octagon room you were in in the very beginning was not a family room way too small.... would have been a wonderful house and it's day!! I sometimes wish when the shower is closed and you can't see the inside that you would show that to us, just a thought.
Beautiful house
That bathroom wallpaper was popular. We had a similar style in 1994.
What a house is done because it have mold in water damage not good be careful Ethan
Hi Ethan!❤
I would say that I am pleased that horrid poor quality dwelling will be razed! 😮
Why would it be abandoned? Why wouldn’t the bank sell it.
Hi Ethan love it❤
Looks like the pipes burst and caused all the water and mold damage.
stairway white oak...
Hi Ethan 👍
Hi Ethan ,this looks like it's going to be an amazing house ❤ let's get into ,shall we Ethan
I worry about you in all that mold, it can make you so sick!! You should take some kind of mask with you just incase you find homes like this! You do great work!
OMG!!! That master bathroom ceiling with the black mold. The ceiling almost looks like my dog Felony spots (dalmatian). 😮
How does an NBA guy go bankrupt?
You really need to ask that question? Hi Nathan 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
Why are you always trespassing?!
Wear a mask going into these places please!!!!!

Nice one 🏠
Nice house, but....😢😮😅😊

Does Any one know witch hoop player liver here at one time? 90's. And does anyone know witch city / town of the location of this casa? NBA jam on it.
1994? This house was built horribly.
Take that chandelier w you too!
U know he's taking that
Ethan 👋🏾
What is the history on these homes who was the NBA player
There wood and not vynal
Listen we don’t need to hear all your comments on the dated bs the quality the construction the problems shape etc …. We want to know whose house it was … period !!!
you’re simply wrong.
Hi ethan
Sup in the Mirror
So sad 5 yrs a family lived there. GO DODGERS we are up 1-0 against the YANKS

I love your show but sometimes you dwell to long on a room.
Mcmansion
Big house /= mansion
I think Ethan’s Canadian and they call any house a mansion, no matter how big or small.
❤🤩👍❤🍀🇨🇭
