Gosh, I have never lived in a village as I have always been a city folk but watching your videos make me want to move to the village. Absolutely love the serenity.
Thankyou Rachel. You will never know the beauty of village life until you taste. Take a week off and go spend sometime in your village. You will realise how relaxing it is. All the best darling
Very true. Folks are peaceful, are preoccupied cultivating organic foods and living healthier unlike city dwellers who depend on fast foods and quick meals for sustenance.
@@jaelofthevillage I am very inspired, some of us are are born in the village and we are dreaming of soon settling back again in the village. Thanks for all the information you been sharing with us.
Jael one thing I have seen Luo's are very consistent in their lives. They love big in the city and even their villages are very organized. Like those rich Nigeria homes I see in Bollywood.
That's an Awesome way of living. Most of us have moved to urban areas, striving and struggling daily. Living behind a better life in the village. The serenity, is unREAL. 👌🏿👍🏿
Wow, how I love your vlogs, so calming and relaxing, you make village life beautiful my dear, thks for always sharing beautiful calming vlogs, I feel peace each time I watch, God bless you dear

Beautiful i love it village life is self sustainable you're at peace just birds chirping omg 😊😊so beautiful am in the village too away from the city noises
I thank God Almighty for the beauty of our villages. While training as a primary school teacher in the 80's, while travelling with other students from other areas that were favoured politically, it was so common to hear such statements " Wajaluo na nyumba zao za nyasi" take no offence but it was the reality. It did hurt a good number of us. But God is called God. Thank you Jael.
Haki you are organized. I am so jealous of you 🤣🤣🤣. Very healthy eating fresh food straight from the garden. You have given me so many ideas and to what I need to start doing before packing my bags back to the village. May God bless you. You have motivated me a lot
Beautiful vlog. I love this one. It’s truth!!! Bloom where you are planted!! Simple is a good thing!!! Will watch this one a second and third time. It’s filled with wisdom. I can so relate. It’s how I grew up in the US. Learning to give and share. Neighborhoods were like villages. It’s no longer that way. I long for those days. But I make the best of what God is giving me now. Blessings to you. 💜🥰🙏🏾🫶🏾🙋🏾♀️
You madam, are a living proof that one can build and LIVE in a beautiful home in the village INSTEAD of visiting it twice a year for 2 week stays as most city dwellers do. No more to the dead capital syndrome..
I'm so envious of you. I can see why you are at peace in the village. What country is this, if you don't mind telling; and was that cassava or potato you were peeling.

I was born, raised and married in the city,iv lived my entire life in the city, but recently, my husband had an accident and when he was out of the hospital ,i decided to take him to the village ,away from the city where he would heal in a quiet environment..we stayed there for 4 months and i noticed that the peace in the village is nothing compared to the struggles we go through in the city.. The love i experienced was great..i didn't want to return to the city ..we are back to the city but im not as comfortable as i was in the village..

I know this might be a little late but how did your sweet potato sales do in the market. Was everything sold? How does that work? Also your voice is so calming I enjoy looking at your channel
its better to forget about the national government, just deal with the county and area mca hold them accountable because you are now the champion of that village. We are now empowered at the grassroots as Kenyans.
@@jaelofthevillagehello and thank you for posting your videos. Just one request. Please consider clarifying your video titles to specifically reference Kenyan village instead of African village. Your videos have a wonderful educational content for some who may have limited or non-existent knowledge of the African countries. You have heard the joke that Africa is a country! Many blessings for your channel growth and success!
Hi Murimi, we have very fertile soils here. Almost all crops do well. We are the biggest suppliers of sweet potatoes in Kenya. We also have other cash crops like onions, maize, beans, bananas, groundnuts, coffee etc only that we are not glued to one cash crop. Every farmer grows what works for them.
Sugarcane is also widely grown as a cash crop in this part of Kenya. Even with the ongoing sugarcane politics, some private sugar factories are still operational. There’s also areas that grow rice and cotton as cash crops. Breweries buy a lot of sorghum from this region and run an out growers system for the plant based in Kisumu. Homa Bay borders Kisii and Nyamira counties which have a higher topography thus cooler and here you will now find coffee and tea. Once upon a time, South Nyanza also used to have a lot of pyrethrum. It’s a pity that our agricultural sector has been mismanaged for so long otherwise we would be self sufficient in so many food and commercal crops.
Gosh, I have never lived in a village as I have always been a city folk but watching your videos make me want to move to the village. Absolutely love the serenity.
