Your my first comment ever on UA-cam. I’ve been watching your journey though. My husband and I are doing something similar. I just wanted to commend you and SLR on your hard work and let you know a couple of things that have helped us tremendously. Our four wheeler with a pull behind brush cutter ( Lowe’s on line they ship to the store) makes short work of clearing underbrush and saplings. And a trailer for the four wheeler. I know it’s an additional cost but here it has saved our bodies a lot. It’s a lot of work and you guys are killing it. Keep up the good work. Many blessings from your Oklahoma neighbors.
I was thinking the same thing they have so many attachments for four wheelers they do need a bush cutter and a trailer to move logs and brush. Saves a lot of time and your back. They even have snow plows that attach to the front of the four wheeler.
Careful with cherry trees close to your house, the roots are notorious to plumbing! Love your vision! Can't wait to see all your hard work come to life! 🙏🇺🇲❤
I was thinking it may not be a good idea to have them so close to the house. Because they will draw bee’s, yellow jackets etc. Perhaps further out maybe along the yard.
When you go to plant your fruit trees, just remember it is best to plant at least two so they can cross pollinate. Even monoecious varieties are more likely to produce better fruit if planting more than one. Peach trees will self pollinate, but most apple and pear trees will need more than one.
Roxanne, the fruit trees get pretty full of leaves and even if you get dwarf verities they still will eat up part of your view. Putting them on the perimeter might be wiser. You have your work cut out for you with the lawn. So glad you got good news on the power!
Who going to mow all that lawn. Make sure your trers are self pollinators or you will need at least 2. Dwarf for sure fruit in only a few years instead of 5 + years. How about garden area less lawn ??? Just saying.
That is good news that you get to use your neighbors electric right away that will save a whole lot of money down the road and much less headache to worry about I am so happy for y'all to get an easement to your neighbors Electric Service . So now you will have electric service here in a couple weeks at your home to shed build that is awesome no more loud generators running well you are doing your build. Wish I live close by I would love to come and help you put your service pole in the ground and run Electric in your walls and help out with all your plumbing needs I have 25 years experience in doing that kind of work I am now retired I'm just sitting at home enjoying watching your Channel wishing that I lived closer where I could help out people that could use the help. Maybe one of these days I will make a trip always wanted to go fishing in Arkansas and Oklahoma Lakes are much beautiful then the lakes in Tennessee. Keep up all the good work you and your family are doing And be safe God bless you all.
Just a heads up. I notice that everytime you guys go from family room to the the house, you cut across the dirt. If you do plant grass there it will be worn out. My suggestion is to angle the gravel so that you have a walkway. The natural thing for us to do is go the shortest distance to get to our destination. Things are looking great.
Or put in a real sidewalk so it will always be above the water when it rains. Then you could plant a pretty garden all along the sidewalk on both sides of the walkway.
So glad you heard back from the neighbor. I bet that's a huge relief. That would have sucked to widen the road, so much work. Can't wait to see your area transformed.
Well done guys we always think of the hard things first so happy for you two that it was just a kink 👌👌👌don’t ever feel stupid you always work it out. Have an awesome day ❤️❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍🥰🥰
Roxanne! Plant them all! Peaches blueberries apples you cannot go wrong. It is so enjoyable getting fruit from your own trees, make sure you get good size trees so the wait is not years!
That's awesome that you got ahold of the neighbors for permission on the power. Once you get that woohoo it's on with the building. Yay. Thank goodness the water problem was solved quickly and easily. Glad that didn't cost you. Roxanne take your allergy pill when he's out messing with the ragweed. He'll have it on him when comes back in the trailer plus all of it will be flying around while he's cutting it. Just thinking of you girl. Love y'all, see y'all tonight on the live!
Who ever does the videos is doing a great job……there is so much beauty on the property…..you have done some amazing things in the short time you have been there …thanks for sharing
Anthony, the road looks great! Wonderful about the power easment! Now...ask the guy if he would sell that area of land where the unused shed is :) Roxann , fruit trees are the way to go! Plant at least two of each kind, helps with fruit produciton.
Saludos desde Colombia hermosa familia, me encanta el esfuerzo que hacen para establecerse en la naturaleza y volver a los principios básicos de la vida, con comodidades de esta modernidad. Bendiciones.
Roxanne, have you ever used V-8 in your goulash? I use a ratio of 2:1- V:8:Water. Ground beef, all veggies from my gardens, purple onion-garlic-zucchini and squash and my canned whole tomatoes. Then I use the large elbows. Spices are sea salt, pepper, touch of garlic powder and a touch of onion powder. Make a fresh loaf of white bread and slather some real butter on it and dip in the juice! Sooo good. I do all this in a 42’ 5th wheel. So I understand the RV life. Been in ours for 2 years now. Anyway, I love the new shed to house you’re building!! So excited for y’all. When are the gardens going in? That’s what I’d use the smaller shed for, my pantry and canning kitchen. I’d take that over in a heartbeat 😆 God bless you and yours!!
Yes Roxanne, stay clear of that ragweed! Good call! 😉 Cherry tree's are awesome but keep it away from your door as they can be messy. Have a blessed weekend, love following your journey.
We used to call goulash “MORE” because you can add more to it and no matter what’s in it it always fills your belly up. Roxanne try this, fry up some hamburger and make a red sauce or use canned pasta sauce, garlic, salt, pepper, 1-2 cups of steamed rice and green beans it makes the best “More” . I usually make a lot of sauce and add a little water to it because the steamed rice will absorb some of the sauce. It’s great to make for a large family dinner with salad and French bread or toast. Try a small batch first then if you like it do a double or triple batch for the whole family. Oh I forgot it’s good with shredded cheese on top or Parmesan cheese. I don’t cook much anymore since our 2 daughters are married and the other daughter lives in TN so it’s just me and my husband. When I used to cook I made a lot so we would have leftovers or just incase my parents came for dinner. It’s nice that you guys and SLR can share those responsibilities. I love your home and can’t wait to see it when your all finished Stay safe God Bless🙏🏻
That back Yard Lawn will be an awesome addition, have You considered where Your Septic will be, hate to see you do all that work on grass only to have it all torn up with a Backhoe digging Your Septic if that's where it needs to be, really nice that the neighbor is willing to work with You on the Easement.. Looking good so far, GL and stay safe! 👍🤠
Good job Roxanne who needs a gym all the hard work you are doing is keeping you fit. Great vlog your camera work is great. Have an awesome day can see you dream it will look great. ❤️❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍🥰🥰great work with the ragweed Anthony it looks so much better. 👍👍
Peaches, pears, plums, cherries raspberries, blueberries, kiwi. Hell it's a fruit salad that comes back every year!! Great idea to plant fruit! Great for canning as well.
What a nail biter episode this was! Rox you're getting quite the workout with that hand tiller. Loved loved loved todays content! Never would have guessed a kinked hose would be the problem. It just shows to go ya that any obstacle can be overcome. Hugs to Y'all Ü
So happy the water and the electric worked out. Roxanne love the the grass and tree ideas. Road is looking much better Anthony. You guys are doing great. Hang in there the fall weather is coming. Almost to 10,000 thank you for always sharing your journey with us.
Very exciting news about power. I can't wait to see Anthony wire up the sheds and to see them in there with lights! Roxanne, you got some great shots. I think you are quite the photographer! Love seeing Roxanne plans about her grass. I'm really enjoying you guys. Thanks for sharing all the video's with us!
I'm so glad. Can't imagine the price that would have cost. It's all falling into place. You know what that means, more videos, yeah. Have a great day. Cya next time.
Looks so much nicer with the weeds cut down. We been doing the same thing, it grows like wildfire. So glad was a simple fix with a kinked water line. Have a great weekend guys. Will see ya tonight.❤
check with the local title company, courthouse, etc. to see if the elderly couple had a will that was filed or if their property went through probate. IF so, there should be contact information for the heirs.
After cutting down the ragweed, spray it with strait distilled vinegar. It's cheap and easy, but might take a couple applications to kill it. Works on all sorts of plants, shrubs and tree sprouts. Roxanne, fall is the BEST time to plant grass. It will spend the fall and winter putting down nice deep roots. Then in the spring you'll have a well established lawn.
Plant sod in a checkerboard pattern. Then plant seed in between. The sod will keep the seed from running off in the rain, and it will also hold the soil. Come Spring you will have a nice lawn.
Nice laundry set up for trailer life! You'll be really happy you dug up all those root yrs to come. I didn't and lil trees popped up. White vinegar will kill that ragweed. Slowly but surely and not ruin the soil. Arm all those kids w industrial spray bottles full of straight vinegar and spray the ragweed directly. Doing it in the morning will assure the midday sun of pickling it lol. The fruit trees out front is a great idea! You may want to also consider an orchard. I think you can grow several types of fruit trees there. I wouldn't know how to act in a big store like Walmart lol. I've been living/traveling the past 6yrs in Central America. I went to S America 2x's. Lima Peru had some big markets. Not in rural Guatemala or here in Costa Oaxaca tho. I sure do like y'alls set up there. Especially since you're from Vegas and Arizona. I lived 3O yrs in Vegas and moved to bf Iowa, not as bf as you. I moved to a small town of 7OO ish ppl . The contrast is such a welcomed change right? Nice ending to your power dilemma. That would have sucked to have to plow down all those trees on the drive. Happy trails
Great news about the power going in real soon. Roxanne, where are you planning on putting a vegetable garden? You may want to start some raised bed with good soil for vegetables and flowers too. Some fruit trees in the back yard too. You two have lots to do!!
I hope you get some grass coming up before the fall rains hit. All that mud will drive you crazy. You might want to find out is sprinkling some straw over the ground after you seed. Thanks for sharing your journey with us, I am enjoying your posts very much.
Winter is just around the corner. Great news on the power hookup from your neighbor, but you need to think about protecting your water supply from freezing. Any hoses, pipes or water storage containers above ground will freeze. Keep in mind, battery operated tools are very good these days. Don’t let the lack of power hold you up. I am hopeful you can move in to the shed to house before winter. Good like and thanks for sharing your videos.
So happy for you all!! The property is really coming together thanks to all your hard work and planning. You may want to make a little orchard area away from the house-would be very pretty all the fruit trees planted in rows-stunning when in bloom. You could plant flowering shrubs under the house windows very easy maintenance, little pruning now and again. Its hot and humid here in Ontario Canada right now-yuck. Cheers to an ice cold beverage in the shade at the end of the day.
🙋🏼♀️🕊. Hi there folks. So sorry to hear about your little home🏠 on wheels. Glad you found the source of the problem 🥴I have been meaning to tell you please .order your appliances. There is a 4 month wait I heard.from others. Just wanted to pass it on. 🤗🤗🍀🕊🍀🕊❤️take care have a good day🍀🕊🍀🕊🍀🕊
I’m glad the pump wasn’t the problem.. thankfully it was an easy fix..Both of the meals sounds good..goulash with a salad..It’s frustrating to deal with utility companies sometimes..they aren’t always the most cooperative.. We were months getting a phone line.. that was before cell service..
Like your videos more and more y'all a Great Family and Roxanne I have a hand tiller it's great for our large post to tell he soil , y'all are hard workes 😊😇💖🎵
Just wonderful news , knowing you guys can get the electricity installed. Now its truly rock and roll time. Congrats yall. Blessings to everyone. Can't wait to see how you guys lay out everything.
I agree with others and plant your fruit trees away from the house. Plant your orchard near your planned vegetable garden and get the trees in the ground next spring. It takes a few years to get production going on fruit trees so sooner better than later. Also in many areas fall might be a great time to start a lawn? I like peach trees too and mine produce well and easy to process I just cut up the fruit and freeze it for smoothies. Thanks for the videos I just got done mowing grass lol
“Goin to town” you are a country couple for sure now! 🙏💕
I love hearing these newbie country dwellers sayin "gotta go to town". It's great to have hayseed company. The Exodus has reversed.

Aww --I like your name, my momma's name was Janie! :)

When you said guys guess where we are? Wally World was my thought!😎 Glad you got the water problem fix, kinked hose? Wow easy fix.
Man that's awesome your getting easement for power right there. Looks like I need to get out there to help get those logs moved stacked and milled.
That's great news about the power!
I hope you get some grass coming up before the fall rains hit. All that mud will drive you crazy. You might want to find out is sprinkling some straw over the ground after you seed. Thanks for sharing your journey with us, I am enjoying your posts very much.
You've got less than 90 days before freezing rain sleet and snow freezing weather so good luck
Don't forget a citrus tree, lemon tree my favorite. I hope your grass grows the way you want. :)
Glad it was a simple fix for the water! Yay, power soon! Love our little walmart, gotta head there soon to restock. Yummy Goulash!
Yes it all worked out. Stay Blessed!!!
So happy for you all!! The property is really coming together thanks to all your hard work and planning. You may want to make
a little orchard area away from the house-would be very pretty all the fruit trees planted in rows-stunning when in bloom. You could plant flowering shrubs under the house windows very easy maintenance, little pruning now and again.
Its hot and humid here in Ontario Canada right now-yuck. Cheers to an ice cold beverage in the shade at the end of the day.
Great news about the power 👍
That's awesome! Happy u got it fixed
It’ll all come together 👏🏻😊
Great video! We love all your videos. Much love and many blessings to you guys.

Fall Seeding grass is the best time. Once the seedlings don't fry in the hot sun you are good to go. Then you can overseed in the spring.
Thanks for the video, keep them coming.
Oh that sucks good luck guys! It’s great they called you back and going to logout do it
Glad you guys got the easement! Great news!
Lots and lots of progress! Seems like you just got there.
Love the lawn ideas Roxanne.
