Hey guys, we have that 2015 Ford Fiesta ST that is one of the build for our main Channel World Mechanics. I have noticed that the trunk was not locking and opening every time. The car had only 6k miles and it the trunk lock needed to be replaced.
This should be the same for the Ford Fiesta Hatchback lock and Ford Fiesta ST Hatchback lock for 7th generation.

Great video ,I had problem with boot open warning light coming on for no reason,this would happen during the night draining battery.i followed these instructions to remove panel then I just cleaned connections to lock and wd 40 them and then put it back together and it sorted it.

Ok, when the latch is not locked, fine! How about when the latch is locked and dead??? I did manage to take off the cover without breaking anything, the wire plug, I was even able to screw off the latch from the door trunk and I could open it... Now, how can I take the locked latch from the metal hook at the body??? Thank you!
How do you get the lift gate to open when the latch is not releasing? The button on the hatch or remote works so I assume the actuator that you removed in this video is the problem but how do you get it open to get to it?

I'm having trouble with mine but it's not opening. No matter what I do I cant get the trunk to open, would that be the boot or possibly a fuse problem
Either boot lock or bcm module the boot doesn’t have fuse
*Do you have a video on how to remove the rubber button on the outside of the trunk? I can't unlock my trunk anymore by pushing it and pulling up anymore. I think the button needs replacement. When I use my key, I can open the trunk fine. So something is wrong with the button on the trunk.*

@@steveduff5157 *I never found the video... it's been a while now so I don't recall off the top of my head, but you basically have to do everything that was done up to the **3:00** mark. Once you remove the plastic panel, then you'll have to continue unbolting the bolts that hold the button in place. I recall it wasn't too difficult to figure it out once you're at that stage.*
*Funny story though, initially I took the button out just to check for water damage but there wasn't any, so I put it back in and the button still didn't work. I waited about a week, and the button fixed itself somehow and started working again... weird.*
*If the switch just stopped working recently, maybe you can wait a week or so and see if it fixes itself.*
@@AzNightmare Thanks for the reply. Your funny story appears to be repeating itself, the button stopped working on Monday after having an intermittent fault. Today, Thursday, repeated operations have all been successful. Suppose I'll just leave it till it stays broke.

I’m having trouble with my sensor!! It keeps alarming which is keeping the lights on when it’s locked, causing battery drain! Does anybody know how to fix or has had this problem before? Any help will be massively appreciated!!

New closing latch, like the one they are fitting in the video. Stops the alarm and saves the battery from draining (the alarm is coming on at night when you are not in the car > car thinks door is open > driver's binnacle lights up > battery wastes). I learned the hard way and got a new battery where I didn't need one and now the battery drained again. Get the garage to fit this new latch for you (the one in his hand in this video)
