One thing that benefits from layering at times in my snare. If I have a snare that has bite but not body I’ll layer that with another to add weight and punch.

Doc what do you usually layer?
Bro I used to do a lot of layering in the past but that can really muddy the mix.
Now I might use a nice moving pad and add other complementary sounds around this to add interest. Maybe I’ll do a video on layering.
