One can envision the papillons...butterflies, and flowers of spring in Schumann's composition and the Ullman's performance.

A really, really good performance with character pieces shining in the light of eternity, humour and charm against destiny.

It supposed to be Robert Schumann (1810-1856)

WOW! Yet ZNHER wonderfl new discovery in the piano world! Funny! Nrmally, I hate coparisins \, but I had just istened to Novaes, Perahia and Demus play this work in the past three days, and decided, though I enoyed Demus very much, that i still mujch preferred to hear Guiomar Novaes play Schumann, but THIS has produced a very close second in appeal to Mme Novaes. I only i were a bit mellower, and a tiny bit LESS virtuosic. I have always regarded Papillon more has HAUSMUSIK than as music for the COCERT stage. This is IEDER not OPERA. Needless to say I wish young Alexander Ullman a SLENDID JOYOUS career. I can't wait to hear more of his playing.

...which had the time was 21, in love with the likes of Chopin (and Paganini), and dreamt of becoming a composer-virtuoso.

I want you to apologize. 1 his as anyone"s response is based on the performers music interface/intercession and by which they immerse and are by the medium of music structures which endow them enabled such dynamic and current as music incarnate, and that is no matter if the sound is gentle roam across arpeggiating minors or comparing The perfect Papillion with a chopin nocturne.
