Brew Better Coffee at Home with the Moccamaster Electric Brewer

In this episode of our Brew Better series, our Tech Director Joshua James is joined in the Stone Creek Coffee Learning Lab by our Factory Cafe Coach, Eva Hagen, to brew our Cream City Composition with the Technivorm Moccamaster KBTS.
The Mochamaster is a heavy-duty, at-home brewer that brews inside the 195-205 degree hot water SEAA standard. This brewer, made in the Netherlands, features a manual- adjust, drip-stop brew-basket that provides your inner coffee geek with the freedom and tools to create a clean, tasty cup of coffee. I also turn the brew basket to disperse the water and bloomed with the basket closed because I'm weird that way. But, also I've left it alone and it's fine.

With this being 40oz, does it lose any oz in the brew process? Or will it have that much in the carafe?

Of course the coffee will retain some of the water. 1 liter of water does not equal 1 liter of coffee
