Staying with Dennis Allen another year is Loomis being OK with killing what’s left of the winning Saints teams. No one with talent is going to hitch their wagon to such a terrible head coach, and I believe more than one current player will request trades out of this dumpster fire of coaching.
My man! Appreciate the late-night show. And look man, I did some legwork on the onside kick: today's NFL the likelihood of recovering an onside kick is 5.6%. Along those lines, the Saints defense had forced 2 punts on 9 possessions so 22% stop-rate, if you will (which is awful), including forcing a punt on the prior possession. Now, there's a lot to consider there, but with 4 minutes left, I'll take the (relatively) more favorable odds, kick off deep and play for the stop. Would sure be nice if they didn't burn through timeouts like whippets at a frat party in the second half; those come in handy at the end of close games. Good show dude.
The organization is completely rotted out with systemic complacency. You’ve heard Loomis’s recent locker room speech about “It’s not about the destination, it’s about the people and the journey” right??? Loomis would rather lose with his friends than win with strangers. It’s why he talks so much about 2009 and the past… Loomis has no clue or even a desire to bring the next era of championship-caliber football to New Orleans… he’s perfectly content being semi-competitive in a trash division. You NEVER hear him talk about the elite teams in the league and about his plans to turn the Saints back into an elite team on par with the 49ers, Chiefs, et Man… it wasn’t that long ago that #1 seeds and Super Bowls were a yearly conversation in New Orleans. We’ve fallen so damn far..
DA is bad as a head coach. 30 games under 500. Bringing him back would tell you everything you need to know about Saints management and their commitment to winning. Long as those season tickets stay sold out they don’t care.
no two ways about it on that first half idiot decision when we were only down by 3 points to go for it. Only to go into halftime down 10 points. The other idiot decision was the onside kick attempt. And as far as Carr he just got Carrbage time stats that meant nothing except an elevated box score he played horrendous most of the game. But the most disappointing thing for me was our so called Elite defense who looked terrible again and not the first time. The thing with Carr though is we're no better with him and prolly worse off than Winston but Dalton at least had strung together one 3 game winning streak. Loomis is an idiot and terrible GM..horrendous draft picks and FA signings. They showed Gayle with Brees on prime after that Sheed TD catch didn't see her after that and wondered what she thught of the team when it was 30 to 7. Pathetic is what we are we are worse than Mediocre we are pathetic excuse for a NFL Team we'd have a top pick with a harder schedule...so disappointed with this team and most of all Loomis and Coaching and Carr
The reality of this situation is this team is stuck with DA. The cap situation along with the draft misses have doomed this team. What good up and coming coach wants to be in a situation where the talent is old and can’t be easily replaced. The cap maneuvering has killed this team’s flexibility that it’d need to properly rebuild/retool. This team needs to hit on their draft picks big time going forward
Yep. Not to mention why would they even wanna come to this dysfunctional mess of a team that's led by DA, and coach beside him while also having to work with an average/shit QB in Carr?
@@TNT_12 100%. Everyone keeps talking about this situation as if it’s one dimensional. Take this one action and it will solve all or most problems. Fools errand and far from the truth
Get rid of everyone - Fire Dennis Allen and get an offensive minded coach to take the team over … Eric Bieniemy could be the head coach and turn the offense around - with their current coaches, how many games are they going to win next season ::: Next Year’s Schedule:::: 6 Division Games 4 Teams from the NFC East - Dallas - Philly - NYG - Washington 4 Teams from the AFC West - Denver - KC - Vegas - LA Chargers 1 Team from the NFC North - Probably the Packers or Vikings (Chicago will play Carolina-Lions If they win North win play winner Of the South) 1 Team from the NFC West Either the Rams or Seahawks (The 49ers will play winner of the South Arizona will play Carolina) And the 17th game 1 Team from the AFC North Probably either Bengals or Browns Ravens will play winner of the South Pittsburgh will play Carolina
No upcoming or promising offensive coordinator will want to come and coach for Denis Allen in 2024. I honestly think it's going to be John Gruden. It will be DA and Carr's last chance in the NFL.
How about, since the Saints can’t run, they play a spread offense the rest of the season and let Carr wing it. They can still mix in draws every now and then just to keep the defense honest. But Carr is best when he is winging it.
For someone that had money on the rams...The Saints made it interesting. It was still a game late into the 4th quarter. But it was good money because the Rams played LIGHTS OUT all game long. (except for missed FG)
I paid Mickey Gambino to be able to buy a bowl of saints instead he served us a bowl of crap....then got mad and threw salt on the fans cause we didnt eat it....seriously wtf
I don’t get how no one believes in Dennis Allen or Derek Carr to win, not the fan base, national media, or players but Loomis an NFL general manager still has this irrational optimism in them with 5 and 10 years evidence. 🤦🏾♂️
I hate this they fought back narrative. They did not. If it wasn’t for that holding call they would’ve iced the game it would’ve been 30-14 in a must win game.
Man we bring DA back that clearly just says they don’t want to win and they win break this locker room up. There’s no way a roster this dominant on paper can’t do anything on the field
The players respect DA but they don't fear him like SP. I believe they respect Derek Carr's 'toughness' but they do not believe in him. Overpaying him to still get what you get. The signing did not resurrect his career and he was never going to be a franchise savior QB EVER
Its unfortunate but DA will be here next year with Carr because of Carr's contract.the cap hit is too high to get rid of him.a new HC would want his own guy at QB.not a holdover
I really just don’t know anymore I’m not worried about the cap that’s been a problem for years and we’ve found a way in my heart of hearts it’s the head coach look at his record he shouldn’t have never got the job and the OC didn’t want the job so why would you think it would work that’s why the offense looks bad
Ngl you’re a little obsessed with motion imo. The Rams have a better HC and offensive scheme and yet with all that motion they aren’t world beaters. You kind of speak of motion as if it’s a cure to bad offense and it isn’t. If these guys were executing the damn plays that are called all season they’d be in a better position; motion be damned. But great show as always solo or not NOF4L ⚜️
Well, after you lose to the Bucs, it will officially be in the toilet. The Saints have a DARK future, an aging roster and a coach isn't going to get anyone over the hump. 3 times he went for it on 4th down? The coaching against the Rams was like watching a master school a student.
I won’t watch another game until Dennis Allen and Pete Carbuncle are gone. I can’t tell you how many games their coaching has lost this team in 2 years. And Andy Dalton could have done exactly what Carr has done this year and for at least a 100 million cheaper. Sad really.
The first 4th down was okay but the second was just stupid. You give an offense that’s obviously trying to put up 50 points on you a short field before half. They’re gonna score and get ball back
I didn't see a consistent Defence for the whole season, what happen I thought DA was supposed to be a great Defensive coach, I think he slip big time this year, maybe he couldn't keep his mind on that side of the ball, too much on his plate he was overwhelmed, the job is just too big for him, just look at his record.
BIG FACTS Saints are never making the playoffs with Dennis Allen!!! Also Carolina not beating the Bucs in last game of the year, and the Saints have lost tie breaker to every team trying to get the #7 seed!!! But saints going to run it back with this 22-46 HC 14-18 as Saints coach. Fire the whole Staff and Mickey Loomis can include himself in the House cleaning.. Back to the game Rams D,lions,Jags,.playing 20 -25 yards off the ball, doesn’t count as fighting Back .. When do we get to say he’s being out coached in every game
This is the worst coaching I've seen from the saints, in years I'm talking about the whole season not just this game , there's have to be a coaching change. I'm just tied of all the hype the last two years before the season begins and they fall on their faces, we was supposed too have had an upgrade with Derek Carr I didn't see it. Draft a QB in the first round, get rid of the coaches, get a young offensive minded head coach.
Saints haven't gotten blown out because other teams know how stupid and oblivious the owner and manager are. Not blowing us out ensures Saints keep DA and Carmichael which is GREAT for other teams, especially those in the NFC. The Saints have become a joke.
Who cares if they fight their way back into some of the games…They suck. A loss is a loss. You shouldn’t dig yourself in a hold of begin with. He’s a horrible coach period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With the schedule that they had, the quarterbacks that they faced in a bad division, for them to have this record is unacceptable.
There is absolutely no way this lot are capable of beating either the Bucs or the Falcons. But its because of the coaching, not Carr. He ain't amazing but the crapness of everyone else cannot be saved by a MOR QB. Even Brees would struggle with this team.
Facts: Carr has the #10 passer rating in the entire league and a PFF 74.5 deep into the season now, even though the O line is subpar and every defender knows he's throwing. Against the Rams the running game again was bad with 2 yards per carry and a longest of 5. On top of it all he has the great ability of availability. Games when starters are out with injuries and lesser backups play don't count against the starters in their stats. List faults. Fine. They are included in the ratings already. Most highly desired college QBs are busts year after year. Highly rated NFL QBs often drop out of the ratings quickly. Carr has been in the #8-15 range year after year after year. Go ahead and talk Carr down to #15. So what? That does not make him a problem.
Tons of garbage yards make his stats better. He is ok with his accuracy and doesn’t read defenses at a high level. Any pressure at all and he’s prone to the panic throw. Dalton could do all this way cheaper.
Running it back with DA after seeing this for 2 years is insanity!!!
@bulldogsaints3612 anybody other than DA he's a waste of space
Thank you Nick for staying up and give us a show after a long day. I hope you get some rest and familytime over the weekend.
Keeping your word on the daily content 💯

DA panicked he was coaching for his job at that point
They need to blow up all ties to the Payton era. That's just how it works. You have to keep Carr you don't have to keep DA.

Carr is the King of empty Yards
He was the best player the saints had vs the rams
The season has been over since week 3. Thats how long it took me to evaluate our team and know we suck bad.
The best thing about the saints this season is this pod for sure, happy holidays 🎄
Winning is no longer important in new Orleans
We're back to the mess that we were prior to Payton/Brees. It's sad, but this is the DNA of this franchise I guess
$$$$$ is all that matters. Stop buying and going to games.
The organization is completely rotted out with systemic complacency.

Did the Saints take steps out all? They played a terrible Panthers and Giants team. They finally played a good team(Rams) and it was almost a blowout.
If DA ain’t gone, a lot of fans will be. They’ll see.
What Offense coordinator candidates are out there that would come to NO and utilize Sean Payton existing playbook under DA?
Yep. Not to mention why would they even wanna come to this dysfunctional mess of a team that's led by DA, and coach beside him while also having to work with an average/shit QB in Carr?

None. No one with talent is going to handcuff themselves to a lame duck head coach
Get rid of everyone - Fire Dennis Allen and get an offensive minded coach to take the team over … Eric Bieniemy could be the head coach and turn the offense around - with their current coaches, how many games are they going to win next season :::
Next Year’s Schedule::::
6 Division Games
4 Teams from the NFC East -
Dallas - Philly - NYG - Washington
4 Teams from the AFC West -
Denver - KC - Vegas - LA Chargers
1 Team from the NFC North -
Probably the Packers or Vikings
(Chicago will play Carolina-Lions
If they win North win play winner
Of the South)
1 Team from the NFC West
Either the Rams or Seahawks
(The 49ers will play winner of the South
Arizona will play Carolina)
And the 17th game
1 Team from the AFC North
Probably either Bengals or Browns
Ravens will play winner of the South
Pittsburgh will play Carolina
Appreciate you dawg. Hope you get a good night's sleep.
I appreciate it

I didnt mind us going for it on 4th down, it just seems like there’s a lack of creativity on the play calls
If they run it back and get the same results which they will. Everyone needs to go!
Cheer up folks, only 6 games to go(taking cover!)
I hate this they fought back narrative. They did not. If it wasn’t for that holding call they would’ve iced the game it would’ve been 30-14 in a must win game.
Dennis Allen post-game comments: OH No We suck again!
As a Raiders fan, Carr when give you lots of fake hope.
I like your even keel take. High emotional takes are void. But yea, this team needs to get out of this dead zone.
Man we bring DA back that clearly just says they don’t want to win and they win break this locker room up. There’s no way a roster this dominant on paper can’t do anything on the field
Season been over once Carr walked on the field. Cant watch the Saints. Better to watch the Pels.
We need a top coaching candidates show for all positions. What about Eric Beinamy
I think it was a bad decision to go for it on fourth down because you had 5 yards to go fourth and 1 fourth and 2 yes.
The worlds biggest robbery ...Mickey loomis robbed the fans..
Players should be playing like they are auditioning for staying with the team.
Only thing they can do is win the last 2 division games and pray let’s go saints WhoDatt
The players respect DA but they don't fear him like SP.
I believe they respect Derek Carr's 'toughness' but they do not believe in him. Overpaying him to still get what you get. The signing did not resurrect his career and he was never going to be a franchise savior QB EVER
Honestly at this point I don't care because I won't tune into another Saints game until things change
we should have tanked at the 1/2 way mark for a higher draft choice.
Its unfortunate but DA will be here next year with Carr because of Carr's contract.the cap hit is too high to get rid of him.a new HC would want his own guy at QB.not a holdover

Garbage time TDs shouldn’t save jobs. AK and Shon are going to ask out and I don’t blame them. I’ll be rooting for them.

Cam is Washed on Defense with a two year Extention...
If Olave doesn’t drop that first down, it’s 10-10 at half and maybe 14-10 instead of 17-7 Rams. That was the play of the game.
If if if if . Smh
I think especially in this economy people will not renew season tickets if they keep this head coach.
He is literally pathetic.
This team needs to stop with the "think and thought " . How about "know and knew".

Hire bruce ariens for DC and beinamy on offense .

In the last 2 years, which for Derek is THIRTY games'
The number of times he beat a team with a Winning record is ONE.
