This movie was perfectly directed, unfortunately the writing that when into it was it's downfall, still worth watching for sure though.

The movie was decent, but as an adaptation it was atrocious. If it was wasn't called an adaptation but a standalone movie, it probably wouldn't have gotten the amount of hate that it did.

I think that the problem with the writing is that the writer was taking stuff from the manga, the 2 original films, and the entire series of SAC, and trying to make a somewhat original story with those elements. Sadly I feel like that didn't work and I think that the movie would have done better had it been a straight forward adaptation of either the first movie or Season 1 of SAC.
The movie sucks.

It's interesting that this song, with footage from the ghost in the shell movie is much better than watching the movie its self. The footage of the movie is great, the acting was just mostly bad as well as the story.
