  • In the next eight minutes, you’ll experience a twenty-five-and-a-half-day mission from roll-out to recovery of the first integrated flight test of NASA’s Orion spacecraft and the Space Launch System rocket, launching from the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This uncrewed mission will be the first in a planned series of exploration missions beyond the moon, signaling what astronauts who dare to operate in deep space will experience on future flights.

Been following the Orion mission since the first video about it. So happy that it's actually becoming a reality, can't wait for it.

And they're going to take that tiny capsule to Mars?

For the mission to Mars, they plan to construct a habitat that will be docked to the capsule in low Earth orbit. For the duration of the journey to Mars, the crew will live in the habitat and, upon arrival, they will use the capsule for entry, landing, and decent.

Hello N.A.S.A. I am looking forward to seeing the S.L.S and the Orion Spacecraft. Just an idea I thought of, combine the H.I.A.D (Hypersonic Inflatable Aerodynamic Decelerator) to the Orion Spacecraft so you can also have the service module returned and re-used, which will also bring down costs, hopefully. Has anyone looked into this? All the best to you all.

Good job nasa, maybe in 1000 years from now you'll actually get a human to plant a flag on mars, and then leave mars right after, just as you did on the moon.

Why Nasa dont look at SPACEX and Elon Musk more, this missions look old and outdated, we need to cooperate a lot more to bring the immense nasa experience and know how to Elon Musk vision of interplanetary species. Doing thing together will take us farther away than doing tree way solo.
