Vocally, it comes down to personal preference, but Rob Halford is one of the best metal vocalists of all time, so I guess a lot of metal fans (excluding hardcore LOVEBITES fans) will prefer his vocals. But musically, I think the cover by LOVEBITES is better than the original.

I have always seen this song by Lovebites as more of a "homage" to Judas Priest rather than a cover. Just the ladies paying respect to a band that had a important influence on them. Their way of saying Thank You.

Let’s face it, Painkiller is the metal National Anthem. Whichever your preference, this is a precise homage to a legendary piece of music. Loved how you were one half of the two man half body headbang that is but one of the highlights of the very simple but very powerful video.
