This house reminds me of the movie "Meet me in St. Louis." Of course starring Judy Garland . Their house was a Victorian. The people were of the Victorian era. So was the original builder of this house. Such opulence! You and Kim have a beautiful house as you continue to refurbish history in the making!

The Soft Lighting in the Bathroom is WONDERFUL, but the room that you're going on and on about, I was thinking - "Is he seeing the same room I am?" The Ceiling alone will be a 'NIGHTMARE' I would think, not to mention what you'll have to do to the Fireplace!!!! If I were a "BETTING WOMAN", I'd say you'll have it looking AMAZING before the year is out!!!!

This video has brought me so much joy. Seeing all of the woodwork nigh on completely finished in the bathroom, seeing the bathroom in that stunning lighting, the door, the DOOR!! Seeing that on its hinges was huge, you've got an actual powder *room* now! Seeing the dining room all cleared out and beautifully lit, it set my imagination alight with how beautiful it will be when finished. I'm certain after the powder room that the reality will end up being better than anything I can envision!!

I love those old push button light switches. The lighting looks really great. I really like your videos on working with the wood. I grew up with a dad who refinished and rebuilt many derelict antiques filling our house with them making them beautiful again even rebuilding missing pieces. He would have me draw the patterns he would carve into the missing pieces he replaced in the furniture. That curly pine is beautiful. Good job all around.
At first, I wasn't fond of the wallpaper style, (I don't care for yellow), but the red perfectly picks up the red caste in the wood; great decision to use the original wall piece you found! Such a fantastic job you all are doing! And the cleaned-up room, like you said, really shows what a glorious house it was, and will be again.

What a super room to use as a temporary bedroom for you both. You said "puppies". How many have you got between you both??? I like the mirror better than the medicine cabinet over the sink. The lights are lovely. Wow, the wood grain on the door, amazing! I grew up in 13 room orchard house on the corner of Tustin and Chapman in the small California historical town of Orange, and the house had bush button lights. So cool! That house was my best friend. It housed our family over several years and family friends. It took amazing good, loving care of us until 1962 (?) when a small strip mall across the street had a pharmacy that blew up at about 6am during a bad wind called the Santa Ana seasonal winds. Needless to say the house built of Redwood burnt down. My family lived there at that time. Sooo sad. That’s when I realized that the house was my best friend ever. I was an only child. 👋🏻🧑🦳😊💐
