Full disclosure: I saw the Fearless Four when they opened for New Edition at Empire Skating Rink in Brooklyn. The show was dope, but when I saw Krazy Eddie rock the aftershow party, I said to myself, "I wanna do THAT!" He was in a glass DJ booth overlooking the rink and just put it down with a vengeance! That was my calling. He straight-up inspired me. That was in '83. To this day I'm still going! I hope by chance he reads this comment. All praises due.
I hear that ! Dj Eddie cheeba was my first influence, but it was seeing the Jazzy 5 (1982) perform at my Dewitt Clinton HS prom that energized me. By 1984 my crew signed with Jive records.
