- This video is a German fantribute to one of the best TV shows that has ever been around: Doctor Who. It is from the fans for the fans and particularly the people that made Doctor Who. We'd like to share our love for Doctor Who and show that the unique story of the Doctor and his companions does not only inspire but also connects many people.
Well, and since the 500 Miles video of the cast & crew and various other fantastic videos by the fans, it was only a matter of time until we gave it a go too.
We tried to gather as many Whovians in Germany as possible (and although it might seem differently we were not particularly looking for cosplayers but actually just for fans). All in all the process of making the video took about 10 months of organizing, planning, filming, waiting for the next convention to happen, and finally editing. We filmed in six different cities with about 70 different people in 81 different costumes (some of which appear in various costumes during the video).
Since it is almost the 23rd of November 2013, it only seems fitting to celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who with its upload. I really hope you enjoy the result.

This warmed my heart and brought a huge smile to my face. I'm enthralled by the lovingly detailed Whovianness of the cosplayers. And so many of them had faces that actually bore a striking resemblance to their chosen roles!

also if I had the time(lol) I would so do this with all of the fns I could find at the convention where I live, but who knows how many I would find. When you go to conventions you might as well find close to half of the people attending being fans probably
Ich finde toll wie viele Leute man für dieses Video zusammen gebracht hat. Die Macht des Fandoms! So viele verschiedene Kostüme, macht echt Spaß sich das anzugucken wie alle Freude dabei haben. Ab 2:45 bis Ende sieht man auch richtig wie die meisten Leute aus sich raus kommen, da man meiner Erfahrung nach bei sowas auch erst warm werden muss, und sie einfach das machen wonach ihnen ist. Denn genau diese Unbeschwertheit wirkt am besten. Die alle zusammen zu bekommen war bestimmt nicht so einfach. Darf man fragen ob in naher Zukunft irgendwelche Videos hochgeladen werden? Ein anderes Fandom diesmal, oder ist alles noch in der Planung? Wie dem auch sei, ich wünsche euch viel Spaß bei all dem. Man arbeitet ja mit dem Fandom, für das Fandom. Ich abonniere einfach mal, damit ich nicht verpasse falls etwas kommt.
+MsKitti3 Oh da bin ich spät mit dem Antworten. Sorry! Ich freue mich total, dass das Video so angekommen ist, wie es ankommen sollte :DD (also dass man das Fandom einfach zusammenbringt). Auf jeden Fall hat es seine Zeit gebraucht, die ganzen Leute zusammenzubekommen und das zu filmen. Ich hab auf jeden Fall einiges in Planung, zu manchen Projekten gibt es sogar Footage, vieles ist eine Zeitfrage oder liegt einfach an fehlenden Möglichkeiten. (das Video ist leider nicht mit einem festen Team entstanden, sondern war ein Zufallsprodukt aus Leuten, die dazugestoßen sind und geholfen haben) Es läuft aber auf jeden Fall einiges im Hintergrund und Anfang nächsten Jahres soll es auch wieder etwas geben ;)
+Sweeney Lestrange C(M)V Wo? Und wo kann man mitmachen? Hab gerade mein 11ter Doctor genderswap cosplay fertig (Cosplaytag unserer Abschlussklasse) und wär dabei...
Hi, ah das tut mir leid. Im Moment ist kein großes Doctor Who Video geplant (oder evtl. mach ich was auf dem Timelash II), sondern es sind eher Einzelprojekte in Arbeit und ein größeres Fandom Video zu Life ist Strange (falls du da auch was zu hast). Ich würde mich aber noch mal über den Kanal hier melden, wenn's was gibt. Sorry D:
