- so. what i have been working on for the past two years of my life has come to an end. crazy. this video is literally me reacting to my results i wanna die.
i'm typing this and I am literally on the plane to ~AMERICA~!!! i actually made it!!! crazy!!!!
my UK chapter of life has come to an end. lowkey sad. i will be doing a whole "goodbye UK' vlog, sum reflections and all that, just so we can all get up close and personal tehe.

Jett Green no it's actually slightly above average 😂 The IB's global average last year was 30.2 and my own school's was 28
Jett Green IB Subjects are graded 1-7 (unlike the more differentiating 9-point grading scale used by GCSEs). In this case, a grade 6 is very strong as, I believe, it aligns with an A-level grade A according to UCAS points. - That is a great achievment.

Wait, how? You can’t get your diploma if you scored 2 in one of your subjects right?
미나미이 not true. You can get a two in an sl as long as your sl’s add up to 9 points and I think there’s a rule in place that says you can’t get more than one 2 but idk about that for sure

Watching this when my first IB exam is in 7 days and I can’t be motivated to study. IB really is a nightmare
I sobbed before i opened mine, predicted a 26, mental breakdown during exams, thought i failed, came out with a 27. Wish i had recorded the transition from anxiety tears to happy tears
ugh this video brought me back to results day. One of my teachers actually called me and asked me how it went. I laid in bed for 1 hour with the results there, but I was so scared.

I finished this year as well and got 36 I was so baffled
IB sounds pretty cool honestly, I’m sure it’s super duper duper stressful, but it sounds a lil cooler than AP classes
It depends, I guess. I did IB and had was doing AP on the side. Personally, in my experience I found IB harder. Probably bcuz a lot of additional stuff was required from me.
IB is death
IB is basically AP with extra essays, mind fuckery aka TOK and community service aka CAS.
Problem is IB depends too much on how your school adapts it. One big deal is TOK, since different teachers from different schools and examiners all have different opinions about it...

basically the IB you can do it two ways, subject wise like the AP or diploma programme like what we did. For the diploma we choose 6 subjects, 3 Higher level (approx around 250 hours ) and 3 SL around (150 hours), subjects are broken into 6 groups language and lit, 2nd language, humanities, sciences, mathematics and the arts, many options for those catagories. All of theese are scored from 0-7 (7 being the best score) scores are weighted differently between essays (or lab report), presentations and 2-4 exam papers). Then you have an extended essay or EE (max and min 4000 words) graded from A-E same as tok which is presentation and essay (1600 words). ToK and EE scores are compared and will give you 0-3 extra points. all the subject scores are added up, then the EE&TOK bonus points are added. to pass you need a min of 24 points, no less than D on you TOK and EE, no less than 3 on your SL subjects and no less than 4 on your HL subject. (keep in mind most of these subjects are really hard like maths sl and bio hl chem hl and so on) so 30+ is a great score and 40+ will pretty much get you into any university worldwide.
under 24 or any conditions not met you get denied a diploma

I'm sitting for the exams in November, on Friday I have to hand in my extended essay and I haven't read 1 of the books I'm talking about, my word count is 1800, also I should have handed in my TOK essay on Friday but I only have 600 words, life is hell.

I wasn't full IB but I took SL Math and HL History. I took only one year of Spanish IB but quit bc there was only one Spanish 5 class and it was after lunch and at my school if you didn't have any classes after lunch your senior year, you could leave at lunch. So I was like Frick that haha. Ah, good times.

OKAY SO, most kids have to take ib for two years in the ib program. But here’s the thing, I’m not in the ib program, I’m in an I.B SCHOOL that’s goes from k-12 so I’ve been doing the ib program since kinder year. Life sucks and I wish I only had two years

Congrats!!! Personally, I am really relieved to have finished these two intense years.
I ended up with a good 37 and now am able to go to med school. At times I would just think that I am not going to pass and I would start to plan my life once I failed. Haha.
Btw, is it weird that I somewhat miss the IB journey. Anyway, I felt it to be a worthwhile experience. I hope you enjoyed it too!

Wow I can't believe you're going to NAU! There's this program called Camp Civitan like half an hour away from campus. It's a camp for people for disabilities they have like every other weekend in Williams, a town near Flagstaff and you can interview to be a caretaker there. It's literally so much fun

Here’s my truly truly sad tale. Legit all my teachers didn’t know how this happened. My SL were Maths Studies, French and Physics. I got 7’s in all of them making a total of 21. I got an A in both my EE and TOK meaning i got 3 points. At this point I’ve reached the designated 24 points to pass IB BUT my HL were English, Biology and Chemistry. I got a 4 in English, a 4 in Biology and a 3, YES A 3, in Chemistry which means I only got 11/12 required points. I got 35 points in IB but DID NOT get my diploma..........bullshit.
Two years of pre-IB now I'm heading into my junior year.....well shit.
I refuse to check my marks bc my ib coordinator posted that we all got our diplomas so ayyye I passed 😂😂😂

I was very happy with my 31 too, I mean, I passed, it's over... Extremely crazy, I got a C for TOK(I have no idea what they were expecting for the essay, I wrote a good one I thought...), and an A (seriously was not expecting that) for my EE. Guys, history EEs are the strat.

My bud and I had a competition to see who could score higher as we took almost the same subjects. The results were a mixed bag I got 41 which was awesome but he got 42 and is now rubbing it in my face. I'm sure we are all glad it's over though.
I so wanted to do HL and SL like u did it tho Chinese SL......so annoyed my school didn't have HL film....welp HL Psych and Bio and Lang and Lit....I am going to melt, and its only the start of year 11.
