one of the best conversation like rhyme hh songs ever. Love it. Reminds me old, beautiful times when I was wild, angry .......and Young. :)
I kinda miss this Eminem. The stories, the videos...
Yea, I do miss the old story-based songs like As The World Turns, Stan, and this one. I really liked Bad Guy, Legacy and kinda enjoyed So Far (despite having a pretty corny beat) on MMLP2, but he's only gone downhill since.
The constant yelling that started with Recovery has only went up, on top of the cleverness turned down for speed rhymes which I'm not super impressed by. He went from "you can jump a candle stick, burn your back, fuck Jill on a hill, but you still ain't Jack" and "sometimes I lay awake in the bed, strap a bulletproof vest on, and shoot myself in the head"
to
"this type of pickle we're in is hard to dill, but there's always tomorrow still".
Lame.
I want the old hype background clips back. The comedic intersections like in Criminal or Get My Gun where he's doing some funny shit. A big one is that I want him to just talk again and not be fucking yelling for half the song. Despite what everyone says, I don't think him getting off drugs was what affected his music capabilities. I think him getting successful and no longer struggling (which is a good thing) is what affected his creativity. But some of his most creative and greatest songs (Stan, Guilty Conscience, Without Me, My Name Is) were just goofy shit or serious stuff that either straight up didn't happen or was based off of a true story that didn't happen to him personally. It shouldn't be out of the realm of possibility to get a new track like that.
Yes, this was the Eminem I loved. I remember when he came out, I was about 18, so lucky to hear him when he just started out, and remembering how crazy his lyrics were, and how awesome his voice and flows went
Yep he has matured into a typical boring singer
chieduagain hm yeah any singer can just spit 11 syllables a second mhm yup
@@chieduagain Mhm....I wouldnt say hes a boring rapper when in fact his stuff is still azomg I live his music even now (although I'm only 22 and listen to some of his old stuff and even his new stuff). His music has changed but Eminem himself has changed as well so it makes sense and some of his music he rapping about stuff still stuff that is kind of relatable you know. I think he just matured in life and I guess he where he wanted to be at in his life like with being with his daughters and what not. Cause he always talking about them in some of his songs if anything I think he's amazing for being able to still keep up that flow he has of rapping so fast and lyrical like in rap god man I though that was amazing and lyrically funny at times too.
Lmfao Em parts are brutal 😂

I always wonder what music I would of listened to if I hadn't heard this early as a kid. My cousins showed me this album, recommended for a Christmas gift, and the MM LP was the first album I bought with my own money.
For real, I got this album in 6th grade and is what introduced me to rap music
Me too!
Got the dre 2001 pirate casette version few months before the MM LP
I just noticed Dre and Em dress up as the person that’s contemplating
Cuz they're their conscience beings lmao what am i even saying
Its not a lecture actually. This song is about 3 instances of someone about to do something bad , and what goes on in your head while deciding what path to take in the situation. Dr Dre plays the good voice in your head telling you to make the right choice. While slim plays the bad voice in your head telling you to make the wrong choices. So long story short this song is about what goes on in a persons head when faced with these 3 situations. Debating on whether to make the good choice or the bad choice. Which is what we all do all day everyday in every situation. Some people make good decisions all day, some people make bad decisions all day. And a lot of the time the good side says fuck it and gives in to the bad side and usually wins in the end . This song is some deep shit and extremely underrated. Only a fuckin genius could come up with that concept and then write it/rap it and make it work. So dope.

Honestly my favorite part of this video was Eddie’s verse. I can relate to what he’s going through. Life is hard, it’s tough. Sometimes things don’t really go our way, but it’s a good thing he didn’t go down that road. And when Dre stepped in to make sure he doesn’t go down the wrong path, that shows what a true guardian angel he is to him. Props to Eddie for not going down the path he almost went in due to how life is for him
