This came up on my recommended, this is such a cool video! I'm turning 20 this year, and I felt the exact same way you do when I was turning 19. Things changed a lot for me and my friends as well in this one year but I can confirm that summer still takes us right back to how we felt when we were kids! Recording as much as we could that year was a blast and it's amazing to look back on it, because this one year felt like our entire lives changed, and yet knowing that despite all this we can still come home and act like we're kids is one of the biggest reliefs in the world! I wish you and your friends an amazing summer and good luck on your journey forward!
I'm turning 19 this summer too and it is absolutely overwhelming. People really do grow up too fast, time really is incredibly short, we take advantage of the fact we can do things tomorrow instead of doing things today; most people spend majority of their lives procrastinating and then regretting. But time really doesn't stop or listen to anyone; which is ironic cuz when we're little all we think about is growing up and, now we'd give anything just to go back for a day. We're told we're supposed to be in the best years of our lives yet everything is so stressful and frustrating. How do you enjoy something you barely know how to hold onto? Probably cause you're not meant to hold onto time but to ride it out. Once you get on this ride you can't get off, so we really have to make the most of it. For my 16th birthday my mom got me a camcorder, its probably the best gift i ever got. And watching back those shity quality videos really fills you with euphoria. You feel like you didnt waste the time, it lets you live in the moment while keeping hold of your memories. It's refreshing and honestly just amazing. When you have a visual representation of everything you've done you feel fulfilled and content, there's no room for regret. I genuinely hope you make the most incredible summer movie. You even got me thinking maybe i should do the same with my camcorder. Damn Chaznan, really got me thinking about life haha!!!
i just noticed at the end it says "i hate when summer was easy" i meant to say i miss when summer was easy, i kinda hate it now because it isnt
