Audi Q8 Nardo Grey Peelable Paintwork

- We are back with another TBC Skins video, and for those of you who aren't aware of TBC Skins yet , it is a paint protection spray (PPS) which can double up as a peelable paintwork. There are multiple ways you can utilise this product including;
1) as a clear paintwork protection (front end or full vehicle)
2) as a paintwork protection incorporating a layer of paint matching the existing car colour (good for vehicles that aren't brand new but want fresh looking paintwork)
3) as a paintwork protection incorporating a layer of custom paint colour, making it not only a none permanent, peelable, colour change but also offering protection to the original paintwork.
Now this product offers all the same protection benefits as PPF (paint protection film) but with none of the downfalls such as; noticeable cuts or tears, stress marks, glue residues and UV yellowing and fading. Also, If you're adding a layer of paint, you can give your car a full colour change without having to amend your log book.
This Audi Q8 belongs to a Norwich City FC player and when he first contacted us he really wanted to colour change the vehicle using a vinyl wrap. Now theres nothing wrong vinyl and its certainly a cheaper option, but after explaining TBC skins to him and the fact that it looks exactly like paintwork, he was convinced. Due to being a new vehicle, protecting the original paintwork as well as completing a full colour change was a no brainer. The reason he wanted to change the colour of a brand new vehicle was due to the fact that Nardo Grey was not an option when speccing the Q8.

Looks nice but not sure why they did not just spec this colour from the dealer to start with? Audi exclusive paint allows you to chose any colour you like.
At the time, not sure if this is the case now, Audi didn't offer Nardo Grey as an option (customers words). This is why he came to us and rather then just painting it he decided to skin it instead for the added protection benefits.
Can it be heated like PPF to get rid of small blemishes, swirls and stone chips?
Also, how long on average does a PPS job take to complete?
So like PPF you can heat to remove small blemishes, marks and very small stone chips. This does not however work for larger stone chips which is exactly the same for PPF. The time is takes to complete a PPS job will vary dramatically based on what areas of the car the customer wants protecting and the car itself.

Would I be right and say the paint will still chip exposing the black underneath, as the clear film is applied to the base colour and the Grey sprayed on top?
No, the clear cost is a protective layer, have 3 stages not just 2.
Also you’d need an extremely big rock to break through this much product to the original paint work 🤟🏼

I understand why you have made this comment as we have seen that situation happen but we have specialised processes and advanced testing and training to solve that issue, which I won't disclose here. Peelable paint sometimes has a bad name but if it's done professionally and with our secret recipe it's perfect. We've peeled off a lot of our product on cars we've completed that have had to come back from accident damage and not had any issues. What are your thoughts on the car and job? Are you a fan?
Black Colour Gets dirty easily,Is it same problem with this Nardo Grey Colour??
Nardo Grey will still show the dirt but no where near as much as the black, which is possibly one of the most tedious colours the keep clean.
@@TheBodycentreLtdNorwichUK it gets less dirty than White colour or not ??
How much would the colour change (in fashion grey) job be on an F90 M5?
