I'm starting to like this Grainger fellow. I'll have to check out more of his work.
FourthDerivative If I could recommend a piece I would suggest Children's March. A very fun piece to listen to and play.
EDIT: I had watched this video before knowing that Children's March was done right before it! I still recommend it!
FourthDerivative The rest of the Lincolnshire Posy is a great place to start
This is only the fourth movement of his most famous piece, "Lincolshire Posy". I'd strongly recommend listening to the whole thing.
He’s one of my favorite composers!
I would highly recommend it!
Awesome! Grainger is quite the interesting composer...

Lovely! My favorite Grainger suite, behind "In a Nutshell"
somehow this made me understand this piece more thank you
Funny how that works, huh?
this makes it really easy to hear each individual part more clearly. Like the 1st basson in :18. Great work.
Yay! Lots of classic band pieces; good work Smalin!
Dat ending. I like it.
Great to hear you got performances by the Marines Band. They have yet to dissapoint.
i love all your works dude!!!!
can you movement 1 please? I read your website but it would be really nice if you could
Really, really nice!
Very cool, please tell me you are going to do all of Lincolnshire?!!
+blacksun2163 I don't expect to, no.
Ok, maybe just "Lord Melbourne" lol!
I hadn't heard of Grainger before you began posting videos of his work. I really like the two pieces which you have posted, but I don't like the strange dissonant ways in which he ends those pieces. Interesting choices by the composer.
Daniel Hartnett When I first started working on this animation, the ending puzzled me, but now, having heard it a hundred times or so, it seems perfect (and very wry).
smalin Thanks for posting this.. Grainger is fantastic, but it's usually just us band nerds that play/know his music. He also liked to write some very thick chords (as you noticed with the last two in this piece) .. Glad you posted this!
Will you by chance be doing Shepherd's Hey (also by Grainger)?
wowiamninboy See "Could you please ..." in the FAQ.
cool
What are the instruments? Tell me the color.

Is the orange diamond a saxophone?
Same colors/shapes as in Children's March.
smalin I watched this one first, so i didn't know.
Grainger is Australian.
We are quite cultural.
