- With an abundance of Hungarian Hot Wax Peppers I thought I would whip up a batch of Dilly Pickled Pepper Rings. Say that three.times fast, quite the tongue teaser! This canning process is simple and eliminates the need for water or pressure canning. Let me know if you make these pickled pepper rings.

Last year I canned jalapenos done into rings, I did not wear gloves. Later in the evening I noticed my hands getting pretty warm. Now I did wash my hands a couple of times but that didn't work to well. My hands were hot for a couple more days and I learned the hard way to not rub my eyes.
I understand gloves can be a pain, but we find out don't we, how necessary they are!!
Hello, when I was about 16, I helped my grandfather can hot peppers and was washing them in a 5 gallon bucket. About a hour later my hands and arms burned so bad. Then I did the worst thing possible, and got in the shower, not knowing this would spread the capsaicin all over my body. This was the first and last time I ever made that mistake.
Just did this yesterday. Big mistake, huge. My fingers on both hands are still burning today. 😂
How long do they stay upside down?
UNTIL YOU HEAR THEM POP OR SEAL I LEAVE THEM A COUPLE HOURS I TURN THEM OVER AND CHECK THE TOP TO BE SURE IT SEALED
How do you store them? And how long can you keep them if you are not water bathing them?
I store them just as I do anything else that has been canned. Including items that have been water- bathed. They are still good a year later. I have never had them last longer and by last longer I mean my family ate them very quickly! Thanks for watching and for your questions!!
How long will these last on the shelf? Does this method work for green beans or do I need to do the water bath method?
Our peppers are used quite quickly but we have had them for up to a year. I have never tried the beans but this is the dilly bean recipe that I use for the peppers. I am doing a huge batch tomorrow 😊

Hi...how would you use them on pizza plz?
Hi!! They are yummy on pizza, sub sandwiches, and burgers. I just take them from the jar, and scatter them on the pizza like the other toppings. How many depends on your like of these kind of peppers. If you like, you can set them on a paper towel so that the towel helps remove some of the moisture, we do not.
