Pat, one of your most viewed videos is of you putting yourself through the hell of ranking every Days day, you really think we don’t find your suffering immensely entertaining?
The full vid is a Shakespearean experience, villains raised to incredible heights and heroes dropped to incredible lows, before a complete reversal and restoration to proper status, and the return of Pat to Supreme Commander of the Command Board, way to be patty I’m proud of you
The only thing I like about the command board is how the dice rolling sound effect is basically the "scooby doo up in the air trying to/getting ready to run away" noise
I used to play the command board for fun and semi-accidentally do this on the Cinderella board all the time. That one's really easy to Loop if you know what you're doing
I'm dumb, I never noticed that the Land of Departure board looks like a Keyblade. Guess I just never looked at the name or image. Love me some command board, it's more fun than it has any reason to
I once played for 3 hours straight, immediately after gaining access to the command board. I gained every space on the board, and then continued playing as I reveled in the level of debt the other characters were falling into to me.
If you don't want to deal with the hassle of going into the settings to change the speed to fast every game, there is a way. For some strange reason, your settings will save in the Command Board, but only if you do it through a save point instead of the Mirage Arena. The Mirage Arena will use your saved settings from a save point Command board if you changed the settings during a save point Command board. This also applies to unlocking the Pete D-Link, which only works from a save point Command Board game. It's a very strange means of implementing things, but at least there's a way around it.
There's no way I'll watch this whole video, i thought to myself. Little did I know how fucking intense the command board could get. What a journey that was.
This is actually really good info. So thanks for this vid pat. A few years ago when I was 12 and going through the KH series I remember hating this game. I didnt understand the combat, I never used a d-link and even on beginner I was struggling. I never touched this game after that and hated it for the past 3 years until I played it again recently. I decided to play all 3 campaigns again on critical so Im forced to get good. Im currently on Aqua but playing it crit made me understand this game and its one of my favorites to play. I was struggling a bit with Terra and used that playthrough to understand the mechanics of the game. When I got to Ventus I was breezing through on crit. I Mickey D-linked my entire way through and it was very easy. Anyways the only thing I havent done is the command board so Im gonna watch this and hopefully grasp why it important.
It can level up your in-game commands, that's what's important, but way back when psp servers were online you could play this multiplayer along with the mirage arena. When you actually play the game instead of trying to buy every tile it's basically kingdom hearts monopoly.
Hey Pat! I wrote an informative essay for my English 110 class about the evolution of KH mechanics, and I used two of your videos as sources. I thought I would put it into the discord so that you and everyone else could read it, but I don't know which part of the media sharing I should share it in. Would it be James Cricket's Journal? Please let me know, I worked relatively hard on it and I want to know what you think about it. Thanks Pat!
haven't finished watching it all yet but kudos to you! I'm hoping you realize the confuse command would help a bunch with the AI being really damn good at landing on checkpoints and levelling their panels, letting you do your thing.
Did I watch the entire 6 hour stream? .absolutely. did I watch this shorter version too? OF COURSE!!! this is hilarious and strangely incredibly engaging. Command board gets me every fricken time!!!
I may have managed to do this before? I remember cleaning the floor every time I played against Cinderella. I'd confuse her and cause her to waste turns or walk into negative tiles at the start of the game, and then she'd be so bankrupt she can't buy anything and I have an easy time... even if it took a while. Captain Dark also helped.
I found this very interesting cause I've actually thought about doing this myself. Also while it probably would not have been the strat if you get 3 Joker cards I think they have a Zone Capture but it's very hard to get. It would have been cool to try that though.
I just started playing BBS for the first time today. Let's just say that 5 out of my 6 hrs of playtime have been just messing around on the command board 😅. Came back to win on the very 1st try with some chicanery. One game Ven and Aqua both rolled the same number from the same spot 3 times in a row! This was a way better watch than it had any right to be (it's quite long) and with an epic finish as well! Securing the win and it not even being by default of them going full-on broke…so satisfying to see. I wondered if this exact concept was possible. Thanks for suffering for us to know how deep in the dirt the CPU can be stomped! I'm also really curious about how many different commands you can acquire through farming the board as soon as it's available and melding. I'm guessing it doesn't add up to anything too crazy, but the idea of going into actual combat with as many unique commands as possible intrigues me.
I will admit I do not know how to play command board cuz in my one playthrough of bbs I was like board games? Fuck that! So all I know about the game comes from pats streams. With that said I can’t believe you did this challenge lol
this video is great but i also wish the background music was like desynched from the actual livestream clips because hearing the background music cut and jump around constantly was really distracting
@GribbleGob Can I ask you something? What ARE challenge runs? For me, they're a way to enjoy a game we love more. By finding unique ways to play the game, we can enjoy this franchise more and more. The difficulty doesn't matter as long as you're playing a game you enjoy. Who cares if it's "not that hard lmao" if it's getting you to play a game you love? Your closed-minded view is frankly toxic.
@@tarastargaze3833 I'm being toxic? for saying your challenge wasn't hard? I didn't even say it was bad but I'M the toxic person, not you, who insulted me over the slightest thing and called me close-minded. Stones from a glass house.
I've managed to get every panel on the secret board but only one time. It's very difficult and you have to get the ones around the keyhole first and use captain justice/dark a lot. And be very patient lol
I don't know about the KH3 Arendelle take. I think it's a little contrarian because Beast's Castle and Xaldin's subplot choke slams Larxene's subplot in Arendelle by miles. And that's because Xaldin being in Beast's Castle is dorectly a callback to the lore surrounding Beast from KH1. Because of Beast's love for Belle, his strength of heart allowed him to cross through to Hollow Bastion to save her. Xaldin refrences this in explaining why he was so fixated on turning Beast into a Heartless, so that a Nobody of proportinate strength to Beast's strength pf heart can be recruited into Organization XIII. And from there, and having strkng Nobodies among their ranks already works to the Organization's benefits to achieve their grand goal. A lot of people rte KH2 higly, but a lot don't really analyze or think about the plot and the characters' agency. And with Land of Dragons and Pride Lands, they reforce the canonicity of the summoning mechanic as Mushu references how he saved he world with Sora and Simba is already familiar with Sora, Donald and Goofy. Something that works to KH2's strength that we probably forgot what this feels like with later KH games is that KH2 is a direct sequel to the plot of the previous games as oppose to the non-linear storytelling that came from later games.
Aladin at Jan 6th? Uhhh, nobody that poor that lives in a city is a libertarian of any stripe, he's probably a guy that shares "be gay, do crimes" memes. The Sultan or Mufasa for "good" disney characters because born into positions of immense privilege and appeals to tradition probably resonate without looking deeper.
me: is anyone really going to care about 1 hour of command board torture........f*ck it
i work alone for 5 hours each night where i can put videos on my phone while i get stuff done. So i definitely care
I care pat I care
my dopamine receptors profit from other people's suffering, i absolutely care
I wish I knew this was coming out before I spent a night watching the 6 hour version. I could have watched 6 hours of hmk videos like normal.
Pat, one of your most viewed videos is of you putting yourself through the hell of ranking every Days day, you really think we don’t find your suffering immensely entertaining?
I choose to picture this as the reason why the trio don't have game nights anymore, Aqua gets too competitive
I would believe that
Like Scrooge in the DuckTales reboot?
The full vid is a Shakespearean experience, villains raised to incredible heights and heroes dropped to incredible lows, before a complete reversal and restoration to proper status, and the return of Pat to Supreme Commander of the Command Board, way to be patty I’m proud of you
I never knew I needed a mod for bbs command board to play against xehanort
his victory chant should be "KEYBLADE!"
All of his lines would be *"X-BLADE-!"*
I'll gladly watch this video, since I've trauma bonded to this minigame after winning every board 6 times
The only thing I like about the command board is how the dice rolling sound effect is basically the "scooby doo up in the air trying to/getting ready to run away" noise
I was so invested in you winning by the end, I'm glad it's actually possible!
Same!
This was the most perfectly useless but suspensefully entertaining board game video I needed to eat my dinner to

I watched this while eating breakfast with my Grandma this morning, and she said you are a psycho but in the best way possible

thanks for affirming that i'm not crazy because I was certain that the speed status would usually stay fixed
As a loyal viewer for many years I can say with confidence, this is in my top 5 regular pat videos.
There's no way I'll watch this whole video, i thought to myself.

If there was a true spin off game for KH, i'd vote for the command board
Eat your heart out SB Rave
a proper multiplayer kingdom hearts party game in this style would be great
I'm really glad you made this because I don't think I have the stamina to watch the entire 6 hour vod but I've been mega curious
Me: *watches the 6+ hour streak in its entirety*

one of the best videos of 2023, what an inspiring story
Would be great if Square made a official online mobile game for Command Board, I'd love it.

I love the command board and seeing you get all the spaces was super satisfying. Well done....or should I say fuck it?
Never thought I'd be so invested in a command board game

I love the idea of trying to body cpus in Disney Brand Fortune Street
theres a joke to be made about monopoly, streaming services and disney here
