The Plane Truth: Nepal Crash Again Highlights Aviation Hazards | Risks Of Tabletop Runways Explained

A domestic plane with 19 people on board slipped off the runway and crashed in Nepal. The jet aircraft was trying to take off from the airport serving Nepal's capital. The Saurya Airlines plane was heading from Kathmandu to the resort town of Pokhara. Tribhuvan International Airport has been closed as emergency crew discharge duties. It is monsoon season in Kathmandu, but it was not raining at the time of the crash. Bad weather, low visibility & mountains - Nepal a notoriously dangerous place to fly. The pilot of the jet survived the crash & was taken to Kathmandu Medical College Hospital.
