- I turned 40 at the beginning of December 2021 and wanted to make and inspire change. I love the outdoors and I love exploring new places so I set myself a challenge for my 40th year........
I decided I would reach 40 summits of 40 mountains at the age of 40!
So over the next year I'll be doing 40@40 💪
This video is me reaching summits 1 & 2. High Willhays and Yes Tor at Dartmoor National Park. It was windy, foggy and boggy but I loved it!
Only 38 to go...... I have a lot planned this year and will be documenting as much of it as possible. I'd love for you to join me on my adventures and hope to inspire you to get outdoors.

It's a shame it was such a foggy day, can't see any of the views! But you Bagged 4-5 peaks from what I can see! The one with the "Big boulders coming out the earth" is Blackator :) You would've also done Fordsland's Ledge and Longstone Hill too, and you would've passed close to Southdown Spur at the damn/reservoir, and passed 'Hampster Tor' between High Willhays and Yes Tor, good job!

Crazy weather.The highest peak 100 km around me is only 222 high so that is not close to those mountains.

Dartmoor is great , I live 15 minutes from it ; be carful around that area as very boggy in places + live ammo can be found so avoid as military use it for training , but some awsome places to camp , nice vid Jem 👍

Oh nice, my back yard (almost) in another great video. When I saw camping video I thought you were in 20s lol 40 bloody hell looking good for an old un 😆 🤣 wait till decrepit 50 like me lol nice dog great to get the furry ones out
How high is hangingstone hill that's a hike up on the moors. Great to camp out on moors too
Haha thanks! I do plan to camp on the moors in the near future but might wait until it dries up a bit. Its boggy enough at the best of times 😂

Great video .well done.i wild camp on dartmoor but have never done high willays or yes tor ..your much fitter than me .but you have nearly tempted me to try it thankyou
I've not climbed many mountains yet, only 8 so far. Need to upload my other videos. However, this was one of the easier ones I've done. Maybe just try doing high Willhays on its own to start with. Take your time, lots of breaks when you need them and I'm sure you'll get there and love it! I'm still in the process of collecting my wild camping kit but hoping to try that out this year too 😊

My favorite walk is a 12 mile loop on exmoor it takes in the stunning North coast and a picturesque walk up the side of the east lyn River.
It's an epic walk.
