I’m wanting to go here alone with my kids but just concerned that I’ll have no cell service, what do people do to call someone in case of emergency 🚨

Probably drive somewhere that has cell service. I don't think there are any telephone booths around like in the old days. Thanks for watching. Lou

There are certain areas where cell service works you have to drive around and keep trying. A few years ago I was on state Rte 284 where camp site c is if I held my cell phones up high it got service. I texted someone down there yrs ago it went through, I can't remember where. Once you find out where you will be alright. There use to be a pay phone on windy hill down there they removed it yrs ago. There is a pay phone at blue Rock st park.

Do you know if could we run a generator for a bit during the day there?

Generators are allowed, but as I recall not during quiet hours.

@@LivingOurDreamNow thanks, we would only run it for a few hours during the day anyway. We are still learning how to boondock/dry camp and what our power needs are. Solar is on it's way as are some Li ion batteries. thanks for all your detailed reviews of the parks in PA/OH, those are a great resource!

Sorry to say this but there is no more free camping there they made it a national park and you have to pay and no water pumps

What is the name of the national park? Doesn't sound right considering the Ohio Department of Natural Resources just dumped a significant amount of money into resigning and updating these campgrounds. The campgrounds at the moment should still be closed until spring.
