As much as I agree that some fans are completely delusional, I believe we need to hold these male idols accountable. They and their agencies create dangerously parasocial relationships to benefit from their fans through album sales, streaming, and merchandise purchases, leading fans to spend as much money as possible on them. I’m not saying all idols are like this, but a significant percentage are. Some refer to their fans as "my girlfriend" or "my wife," while others claim they've "never dated" and "never will." When fans are gullible enough to believe them, they start to think these idols belong to them in some way. Naturally, they will retaliate if they find out their so-called "boyfriend" is dating someone else instead of staying true to his words. Idol culture is an extremely dangerous and sad reality that many people fail to grasp
The fans should learn to not be delusional too. Idols are controlled by their companies to show an image to the fans. Sadly, many fans are too young to realize this. I think once the fans themselves have their own relationships is when they will start to careless. My sister in law who is in her early 50s now once liked Hong Kong idols when she was younger too. But after she started dating and the marrying my brother, she said that idol worship gets old. Fans will have to grow out of this or they are in big trouble. I used to like Hong Kong idols and still do but never dreamed of marrying them as they were a lot older than me. I now have a boyfriend who is also Korean and looks like a kpop idol coincidentally, but I am way past the stage of dreaming of being with idols. I hope these fans will too.
Obviously they're gonna say things like that so that they get more support and it's not right that they say those things cause it backfires on them but a fan should have enough common sense to know what's real and what's not and if they say that the fans are their girlfriend they mostly say it humorously or at least that's the vibe i get from that.

I will never understand why these fans get so irritated when they're being normal. I feel like it just makes fans wary that Hendery is hanging out with Lucas due to his past controversy WITH girls… basically, his crowd is a red flag. So Hendery with them is really worrisome.

For Hendery, He spend most of his life away from home prior to entering SM. He has little chance to be his friends. So why can't he spend time with friends in those little chance he got.
But it's not their fault that the fans go overboard with their obsession. Like besides supporting their music, the fans think their idols should behave a certain way in terms of political views, dating etc. But they also need to think their idols are regular human beings who can have friends, dates etc. Naturally genuine bad behaviour will have impact on idol's support, but basic shit like this is overboard. Fans need to get a grip, idols make music to entertain, earn money etc. They can show appreciation to fans but they don't deserve critical judgement on every single thing 😊

I don't understand this too. WayV are foriegners. Hendery hardly have time to be in his hometown his entierer life. I have been Kpop fan for more than 10 years. Feel like fans are more parasocial and more neurotic some how. It is a gray area to what privacy idols can have to not stir a wave of parasocial fan who are too sensitive about every little thing.
